[1] Téléphone was an extremely popular French rock band that formed in 1976 and disbanded in 1986.
Téléphone re-energised rock in France with their electrifying concerts, yet they remained largely unknown in non french-speaking countries, probably because they always sang in French.
Almost all of its members went on to solo careers.

The song "Ça" by French rock band Téléphone is an ode to a person who is imperfect but loved nonetheless. The lyrics describe how there is something about this person that is not quite right, something that is undefined but noticeable. Despite this, the singer still loves this person and finds comfort in their presence, as everything else around them seems to fall into place when they are together.
The opening lines of the song, "Quelque chose en toi / Ne tourne pas rond," translate to "Something about you / Is not quite right." This sets the tone for the rest of the song, which goes on to describe how the world around the singer can be chaotic and unpredictable, but the person they love brings stability and comfort. The use of sound imagery, such as the "doum doum" of bullets and the "tchouc tchouc" of a train, adds to the atmosphere of the song and emphasizes the contrast between the noisy world and the peaceful presence of the loved one.
Towards the end of the song, the repetition of the phrase "Ca c'est vraiment toi" ("That's really you") emphasizes the uniqueness and authenticity of the person being celebrated in the song. The repeated use of the word "toi" also emphasizes the importance of this person to the singer, as if they are the only thing in the world that matters.
Overall, "Ça" is a powerful and emotional song that celebrates imperfection and the power of love to bring stability to an unpredictable world.
