Breathe
Télépopmusik Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Left for something you see though you're here
You haunt my dreams
There's nothing to do but believe
Just believe
Just breathe
Another day, just believe
Another day, just believe
Another day, just breathe
I'm used to it by now
Another day, just believe
Just breathe
Just believe
Just breathe
Lying in my bed
Another day, staring at the ceiling
Just breathe
Another day
Another day, just believe
Another day
I'm used to it by now
I'm used to it by now
Just breathe
Just believe
Just breathe
Just believe
Just believe
Just breathe
Just believe
Another day, just believe
Another day
Another day, just believe
Another day, just breathe
Another day (I do believe)
Another day (So hard to breathe)
Another day (Not so hard to believe)
Another day
Another day
The lyrics of Télépopmusik's song "Breathe" express a sense of longing and heartbreak, as the singer talks about being haunted by a past love while trying to move on with their life. The opening lines of the song, "I brought you something close to me, left for something you see though you're here," suggest that the singer is still emotionally connected to their former partner, despite having broken up or separated from them. This longing is further emphasized by the repetition of the phrase "just believe, just breathe," which serves as a kind of mantra or coping mechanism for the singer.
The song also touches on the themes of routine and habit, as the singer mentions being "used to it by now" and staring at the ceiling every day. The repetition of the lines "another day, just believe, another day, just breathe" suggests that the singer is trying to take things one day at a time and find comfort in the struggle of daily existence. The haunting quality of the music, with its dreamy synths and echoing vocals, creates a sense of atmosphere that complements the melancholy lyrics.
Overall, "Breathe" is a poignant meditation on the difficulties of moving on from a relationship and finding meaning in life's daily struggles.

This make me sad :( her voice puts me at ease. I deal with depression and anxiety but when I listen to this it all melts away. Her voice soothes my brain and it's beautiful when you hear this in the dark listening to it with head phones. She will be greatly missed.
