Road To Our Dream
T'Pau Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

This is a long road we travel
Is it as bad as it seems
Does it captivate your every thought
Oh, reaching for your dream
Well nobody comes to your door

Nobody gives it away
When you think you've found it
It slips through your fingers
Like sand it drifts away

So the moral goes
This is the way the story reads
Keep trying we believe

If this is the road we take to our dream
Do we walk in vain
If this is the road we take to our dream
And fall on the way
Get up and do it again

This is a long road we are traveling
Is it as bad as it seems
Does it captivate your every thought
Oh reaching for your dream
Well nobody comes to your door
There ain't no one gonna give it away
When you think you've found it
It slips through your fingers
Like sand it drifts away

So the moral goes
This is the way the story reads
Keep trying we believe

This is the road we take to our dream
Do we walk in vain
If this is the road we take to our dream
And fall on the way
Get up and do it again

This is a long road we're traveling
Is it as bad as it seems
Such a long road we're traveling
Is it as bad as it seems
We believe

If this is the road we take to our dream
Do we walk in vain
If this is the road we take to our dream

And fall on the way (fall on the way)
Get up and do it again

2day's music gets only to No.1 caus' of social media, by clicking or whatsoever. Every crap song nowadays goes there. And not by buying !!! Just like we did.
I would like to reprise the 80s for 2day and i bet they would get billions of clicks easily, too.Without any problem, but these songs REALLY deserve it !!!

I was 10 years old and this was the 1st 7"single I ever got,was discounted cause it never made the top 40.but I listened to it non stop cause my parents got me the album rage for my xmas. my dad passed away the year after, and life has been one mighty struggle since.but everytime I hear this song, reminds me of when things in my life were happy, and now when i look back and listen, makes me cry, feels like life was trying to warn me bad times were coming.but im still here, thanks tpau x
