Slave
T-Mass Tritonal feat. Fisher and D Dub Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I need more than
You need me don't you
Pretend that you don't mind

I'm gone without you
You feel without me
Your life would just go on
I'm a slave to your love
But I don't mind
Cause you make me feel safe

I'm a slave to your love
but I don't mind
'Cause you make me feel so happy

Take me to the end
I'll chill about the side
Watch me fall for you
until we'll chill

We brought it down
on the pavement
I'll need you now
to break my fall

I'm a slave to your love
But I don't mind
'Cause you make me feel safe

I'm a slave to your love

but I don't mind
'Cause you make me feel so happy

Overall Meaning

The lyrics for T-Mass Tritonal feat. Fisher and D Dub's "Slave" are about being in a relationship where one partner feels more emotionally attached than the other. The lines "I need more than you need me don't you, pretend that you don't mind" suggest that the singer wants more from the relationship than their partner does, but their partner is trying to appease them by pretending they don't mind. The chorus, "I'm a slave to your love, but I don't mind 'cause you make me feel safe", talks about how the more attached partner is willing to do anything to maintain the relationship because it brings them comfort and happiness.

The second verse goes on to describe how the singer and their partner need each other, but in different ways. The line "I'm gone without you, you feel without me, your life would just go on" suggests the singer needs their partner more than their partner needs them, and that without the singer, their partner's life would simply continue on as normal. The line "take me to the end" suggests that the singer is committed to the relationship and willing to go through whatever challenges may arise.

The bridge talks about how the relationship has led to a certain degree of vulnerability, with the line "watch me fall for you, until we'll chill" suggesting that the singer has let their guard down and fallen for their partner. But, the line "I'll need you now to break my fall" implies that they are worried about getting hurt or being let down. Overall, "Slave" is a song about the give and take of relationships, and how sometimes one partner needs the other more, but both are willing to commit to keep the relationship going.

Actually: Since 1982, there have been at least 62 mass shootings across the country. Of the 142 guns possessed by the killers, more than three quarters were obtained LEGALLY. And about guns killing people, read my statement in the description more carefully.

I just started liking your music but hearing this song makes me disappointed. I couldn't even listen to the whole song. As a fellow Korean and 2nd Amendment supporter, you got your ideals wrong. Most of the killings with a firearm are firearms illegally obtained through the black market etc. Not the actual citizens who legally obtain them and want to defend themselves. Also, guns DONT kill people. People KILL people. Don't fucking blame guns...
