Anthem
T-World Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
When this fair land was young
Our brave forefathers sowed the seed
From which our pride has sprung
A pride that makes no wanton boast
Of what it has withstood
That binds our hearts from coast to coast
The pride of nationhood
We loyal sons and daughters all
Do hereby make it known
These fields and hills beyond recall
Are now our very own
We write our names on history's page
With expectations great
Strict guardians of our heritage
Firm craftsmen of our fate
The Lord has been the people's guide
For past three hundred years.
With Him still on the people's side
We have no doubts or fears.
Upward and onward we shall go,
Inspired, exulting, free,
And greater will our nation grow
In strength and unity.

The lyrics to T-World's song Anthem pay tribute to Russia, its people, and its heritage. The first stanza describes Russia as a sacred and beloved nation with a powerful will and great glory that will endure for all time. The second stanza praises Russia as a free and independent homeland for all its people, connected through generations of shared wisdom from ancestors. The third stanza speaks of Russia as a vast and diverse land with boundless possibilities for dreams and life, which are made possible by the loyalty and faithfulness of its people.
Overall, the lyrics convey a deep patriotism and respect for Russia, its history, and its people. The use of the word "Š¾ŃŠµŃŠµŃŃŠ²Š¾" (otechestvo) is significant, as it is a highly emotional term that represents a person's homeland, and the use of the term throughout the song creates a strong sense of national pride and identity. The repetition of the chorus reinforces this message, encouraging listeners to celebrate and take pride in their country.
