On July 9, Eunjung appeared on KBS 2TV‘s “Star Life Theater” in which she briefly explained how the title of T-ara’s hit song, “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” was created.

Eunjung stated, “The song was initially named ‘Pee Poe Pee Poe’ but we kept playfully pronouncing it as ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep.’ In the end, we just went with ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep’ because it sounded cuter to us.”

“Bo Peep Bo Peep” means a lot to T-ara because it is their first hit song after their debut. Unfortunately, their previous songs were not as popular among their fans. The main point of attraction of “Bo Peep Bo Peep” is the cute outfit that consists of cat ears, tail, and paws. The cute dance of the song was also a huge hit in Korea.

Eunjung continued, “I was at first very embarrassed about the dance since it consists of shaking the butt to make the tail shake. It was quite a surprise when the song suddenly became very popular. The video was banned on most major music video programs and yet it was still a huge hit which was rare as back then it was pretty much required for your MV to be on heavy rotation to get traction. It was almost a death sentence if your video was banned because that meant you wouldn’t get as much exposure as you would. They pulled it off though with their hard work by still performing the song live in every major music program. Gotta give Gen 2 credit for their dedication to be successful.

I miss T-ara so much, I think they'd be a good representation of what golden age kpop was. Their music always stood out and their early mvs had unique concepts and stories to them, it wasn't just the group dancing behind expensive backgrounds. The real story is the "working of the formula" in the K-pop entertainment industry. Congratulations to Core Management, the girls, and everyone involved in the training and development of these great acts. It's hard work to be sure, but the talent is real, not at all fake, and competition for the coveted "apprenticeships" is fierce in S Korea and Japan. I certainly understand and appreciate what this is all about; nice stuff.

You are not the only one. I used to only listen to symphonic & power metal and steampunk, two of my friends mostly listened to Japanese metal. Then we got infested with what they call K-pop love. Welcome to our lair ^^ You'll soon listen to few other T-ara songs, then you'll move on to maybe SNSD, then you'll discover boy groups like Super Junior and ShinEE.. Good luck =^^=
