Angie
T.B.Schmit D.Henley Lyrics

Angie, Angie
When will those clouds all disappear?
Angie, Angie
Where will it lead us from here?

With no loving in our souls
And no money in our coats
You can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, Angie
You can't say we never tried

All the dreams we held so close
Seemed to all go up in smoke
Let me whisper in your ear
Angie, Angie
Where will it lead us from here?

Oh Angie, don't weep
All your kisses still taste sweet
I hate that sadness in your eyes
But Angie, I still love you, baby
Everywhere I look I see your eyes
There ain't a woman that comes close to you
Come on baby dry your eyes

But Angie, Angie
Ain't it good to be alive?

Angie, Angie
They can't say we never tried

Love and look up to Joe so much! He is truly an amazing human being. He seems so down to earth and just so humble and grateful. Great interview!

Funny as hell too

Joe, you're a rock star in my book 24 hours a day! I agree our country hasn't been this divided since Nam and it's sad to see.

Joe I was drafted and sent to Vietnam as an infantry grunt in 1968. I was wounded nine months in to my tour. When I got hit it instantly paralyzed and I couldn't move my legs. I knew I was hurt bad enough to go home. At the time we had are battalion commander with our company. He had his own personal house trailer that he would have the helicopter guys fly his trailer out to different firebases like ours where he'd spend a few days. All this crap he pulled was called TOC ( Tactical Operations Command ). The man was a gong ho commander who wanted his men in combat. I was on a stretcher waiting for a medivac flight out of this hell. I couldn't help it and laid in to that ass and what I thought of him. My buddies said they tried to convince him I was delirious. He got even with me and pretty much cleared my DD 214 of any metals that I had been awarded. Nothing heroic just medals you get for places you had been etc. I was discharged from the Army and sent to Hines VA hospital in Maywood, Illinois. About a month laid up at the VA the Army called and said they had a Purple Heart to present me. Did I want them to come and pin it on me or mail it. I told them to mail it. I hope to see you in 2022 Vetsaid, I'll be there. Sorry for making this so long but its been 53 years ago and first time I have ever told it.

The drinking man's musician back in the day has made a remarkable recovery and has sounded better than ever the past 20 plus years. Such an inspirational guitar player and human being. Absolutely love Joe Walsh 👍

Mia and Reggie

He's real and he's cool!!! Yet, I'm a veteran. We are always going to be at war in some fashion. The kids sign up mostly because they need a way out or look for some education. It's not vietnam any longer.
