Away
T.H.E. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Yeah, say, why I'm lookin' that way
You ain't do nothin' wrong
I'm wildin'
It's five I waited up last night
Said you got too high
I'm tired

So you want me to give you honesty
Said you wanted every piece of me
You don't wanna hear me out tonight
I just turn around and say goodnight

You don't feel away
You're gone away
You don't listen
You promised you wouldn't change
It'd stay the same
But it's different
We were much happier when
It was always happy endings

Wait maybe it's just a phase
Took a minute for you to say 'I'm sorry'
Don't ask if you really don't wanna hear it
When I'm tellin' you how I feel
You're bothered

Said you want me to give you honesty
Said you wanted every piece of me
You don't wanna hear me loud tonight
Don't let me turn around and say goodbye

You don't feel away
You're gone away
You don't listen
You promised it wouldn't change
It'd stay the same
But it's different
We were much happier when
It was always happy endings

We were much happier when
It was always happy endings

You have the right to feel away
I tried to change you

I'm just scared you're gone away
You promised it would stay the same (same)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Away" by T.H.E. are about a relationship that is experiencing difficulties due to a disconnect between the two partners. One person feels like the other is not listening to them or understanding their feelings, and they are becoming frustrated with the situation. The chorus repeats the phrase "You don't feel away, you're gone away" which could be interpreted as the other person feeling emotionally distant or disconnected from the relationship. The line "We were much happier when it was always happy endings" suggests that the relationship has changed and become less joyful or fulfilling due to a lack of communication and understanding between the partners.

The song is likely relatable to many people who have found themselves in a similar situation where they feel disconnected from their partner or like their needs aren't being met in the relationship. The use of repetition in the chorus helps to emphasize the feeling of distance and lack of understanding between the two people.

I paid for this luggage and am not sponsored by Away Travel although I am an affiliate for them. As always, my opinions are my own and I promise to NEVER tell you I love something when I just don't. Enjoy!

Great review! Weight is a critical issue for me even though I never check my bag. As a 70 year old solo traveler I need to feel comfortable that I can handle my own bags. Always lots of lifting and maneuvering: in and out of car, into and out of overhead and often uneven surfaces, steps, escalators, etc.

I completely get this!

When I saw the new line, I was immediately excited to hear your thoughts! Thank you for buying these with your own money even though at this point you definitely deserve to have these sent to you for free! Your comments on the handle are interesting. I have the gray bigger carry on and have also noticed a strain on my arm when I'm pushing it through the airport. I do think their prices are getting out of hand though so I don't know if it is worth the upgrade but I also bought mine when it was $245 with the battery so another $100 for slight differences doesn't feel worth it yet. Maybe a color will come out that I have to have! Looking forward to hearing about you using it in the future, definitely a gorgeous bag!

Thank you so much for your kind words!

Thanks for your review. I love my away bigger carryon, but it’s two pounds heavier than some competitors. I was glad to see the updated Away appears to have lost a little weight ( 19:03 wish it was more) and the bottom pull and light interior are wonderful! Would love to hear more after your first trip with it!!

I promise I'll do a full review after it's first journey! Thanks for watching.

That lovely, shiny salt color (looks more like cream to me) is liable to show scuffs and scratches more easily. I agree about that light colored lining, though. It’s a mood booster!

I"ve been eyeing the Carry-On by Away and that seafoam color is making me happy; so I think I'll order it. I like having the exterior pockets of a soft sided bag, but I like the dividers of a hardshell. I must do some testing for my next couple of trips.

12 lbs for the trunk is a lot, in my opinion. Which is perhaps why the material may seem thinner - trying to reduce weight. With that large capacity, it would be so easy to be over weight with that bag (50lbs for most major US carriers - 40lbs for the el cheapo ones)
