King
T.Love Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm in a war every minute
I know for sure I'll never win it
I am David up against Goliath
And it's a fight for my attention
I'm being pulled every direction
This world tells me, trust what I can see
Lord, won't You help me believe what I believe
'Cause You are bigger than any battle I'm facing
You are better than anything I've been chasing
Savior and royalty, the only hope in me
Jesus, You are, You are
The King of my heart, heart
The King of my heart, heart

All by myself I fall to pieces
But You are strong when I am weakest
I feel Your kingdom, come alive in me
My feet are bruised but they'll follow where You lead

'Cause You are bigger than any battle I'm facing
You are better than anything I've been chasing
Savior and royalty, the only hope in me
Jesus, You are, You are
The King of my heart, heart
The King of my heart, heart

Your love is deeper than the ocean
You wash away my brokenness
Your arms are always open
Come and rule in me
Come and be my king

You are bigger than any battle I'm facing
You are better than anything I've been chasing
Savior and royalty, the only hope in me
Jesus, You are, You are
The King of my heart, heart
The King of my heart, heart
You're the King of my heart, heart

The King of my heart, heart
You're the King of my heart, heart

Overall Meaning

In T.Love's song "King," the lyrics speak of the struggles that are faced every day in life. The song revolves around the metaphor of being in a battle, comparing oneself to David going up against Goliath. The chorus highlights the importance of faith in Jesus as the only hope in overcoming the battles. The lyrics come as a plea for help to believe when it becomes difficult to trust what one can see in the world.

The verses of the song alternate between the struggles that the singer faces on their own and the comfort that they find in Jesus. The first verse speaks of constantly feeling pulled in different directions and being unable to win the never-ending battle, while the second verse talks about falling apart and needing help to continue following Jesus.

The chorus repeats three times, reinforcing the message of the song. Jesus is stronger than any battle that the singer faces, better than anything that they've been chasing, and the only hope in them.

Overall, "King" is a song that speaks of the struggles of life and the need for faith in Jesus to overcome them.

Tekscioch
Mówiono o nim King
W mieście świętej Wieży
Pamiętam z podstawówki
Jak całował się z papieżem

Przejeżdżał też sekretarz
Gdy przecinano wstęgę
King poszedł na wagary
Pomarzyć o czymś innym

Był zawsze trochę z boku
Na bakier trochę był
W szkole nikt nie wiedział
Czym King naprawdę żył

To było trochę później
Już miał przyjaciółkę Ewę
Mieszkali więc bez ślubu
I klepali słodką biedę

Dawali czasem czadu
Bo lubili lekkie dragi
Znajomych było wielu
Wieczory i poranki

Uważaj na sąsiadów swych,
Bo lubią dawać cynk
Ty wiesz, kto rządzi w mieście
Tu biskup z komisarzem - king!

Tak mówił mu przyjaciel
Długi, chudy Lolo
Kiedy wyszli na ulicę
Zapalić spliffa z colą

Mam dosyć tego miasta
Czerwono-czarnej maffi
Czy mnie rozumiesz Lolo?
Czy wiesz, co mnie trapi?

Tymczasem blada Ewa
Wytłumaczyć pragnie wszystko,
Bo komisarz wszedł przez okno
A spod łóżka wylazł biskup

Co masz w kieszeni King?
Komisarz spytał w drzwiach
Wy palicie wciąż to świństwo
Mieliśmy wiele skarg

A biskup łypie z boku
To na Kinga, to na Ewę
Wy żyjecie tu bezbożnie
Myślicie, że nic nie wiem

Za posiadanie zielska
Ty dostaniesz dziesięć latek
Za nielegalny związek z nią
Następnych parę kratek

Dziś King siedzi w celi
I wspomina dobre dni
Napisał do papieża
Bardzo długi list

Świąteczną wysłał kartkę
Do samego prezydenta
Lecz nikt o nim już nie mówi
Nikt o nim nie pamięta

Był zawsze trochę z boku
Na bakier trochę był
Właściwie nikt nie wiedział
Czym King naprawdę żył

"Uważaj na sąsiadów swych, bo lubią dawać cynk". Święte słowa!

@waldemarborowiecki1083

+Dorota Iłkowska Święte słowa to mało powiedziane. Donoszenie to jakaś dziwna tradycja.

@klaudia9706

Sąsiedzi wiedzą o Tobie wiecej niż Ty sam o sobie.

@Hangman1

Angielska Tradycja - Tutaj w UK wszyscy Angole donosza i uwazaja ze postepuja SLUSZNIE - sa z tego dumni!!

@mibars

Bo "donoszenie" zostało wypaczone przez lata komunizmu: Kiedyś jak donosiłeś to znaczy wspierałeś władzę, komuchów... I do dziś to pokutuje, choć czasy się zmieniły.

@pawelfuks8569

Pozdrawiam

@TheMetalek

Genialna nuta, która moim zdaniem idealnie oddaje klimat "świetego" miasta.

@arthrawn76
