The Normal
T.V.O.D. Lyrics

Hago lo que me da la gana
Tengo lo mio en la cartera
No creo ni en cuero ni en panas
Tu mujer me tira
Pero no me interesa
La mia esta mas dura
Mil veces
Hey
Yo vivo mi vida normal
Con los mios siempre normal
Cien mil en el bulto Goyard
Habla claro yo soy el final
Y ustedes no
No tamo' pegao
Pero no falta na' gracias a Dios
Vivimos comodo
El cheque llego
Ya lo deposito
Y ustedes pagando los reditos
Todo lo mio es inedito
Ustedes tan duro en el lapiz
Pero sin regalias ni creditos
Tienen que darme los meritos
Saben que yo solo los rompo
Los numeros son organicos
No soy como ustedes
No compro
No uso Phillip Plein
Bugatti, Mclaren, Mercedes Benz
Dinero facil
Bien fast como un tren
Que le meta asi
Socio dime quien
Billetes altos
Todos son de cien
Muy duro ta' el flow
Tengo un magic pen
YA
Todo Goyard no uso Phillip Plein
Bugatti, Mclaren, Mercedes Benz
Dinero facil, bien fast como un tren
Que le meta así socio dime quien
Billetes altos todos son de cien
Muy duro ta' el flow
Tengo un magic pen
The song "The Normal" by T.V.O.D. is about living life on one's own terms, without caring about what others think or say. The lyrics talk about having money and not believing in friends or loyalty. The singer talks about being uninterested in women who throw themselves at him, and how his own woman is much stronger and better than them. The chorus repeats the phrase "Yo vivo mi vida normal," emphasizing the idea that the singer is not trying to put on a show and simply wants to live his life without any pretense.
The song also touches on the idea of success and creativity. The singer talks about being different from others and not buying into commercialism or trends. He asserts that his numbers are organic and that he doesn't need to rely on anyone else's approval or validation. The lyrics also mention how the singer is respected on the streets, and how he has no qualms about letting people know he is the best at what he does.
Overall, "The Normal" is a song about living life to the fullest, without giving in to societal pressures or expectations.

I lived in LA in 78 when/where the "New Wave" music scene was happening so fast our heads were spinning (with delight!). KROQ rocked our socks off every stinkin' day! It was such a great time to be alive. So many different types of music and room for everyone at the table. I miss those days of creativity flowing in the streets. Thanks for posting, great job!

still doing good 10 years later old man?
@josephkissel6062
It's almost like a song lyric: "All I wanted to do in the 80’s / was get to the future. Now that I’m here / I just want to go back ... "
@falkenxx
FUCK YEAH KROQ.. ROCK OF THE 80S! I miss them so much.. I used to listen to their late night shows with Jed the Fish and Richard Blade, etc. they played the weirdest coolest shit.
@1979cl1
I was there too dude, KROQ was the best mainstream station with all those great DJ hosts that put the station on the map Insane Darrel Wayne, Al Ramirez, Frazier Smith, Jed The Fish, Dusty Street, Rodney Bingenheimer, April, Kevin McKeown, Richard Blade, Scott Mason, Raechel Donahue and more, boy i missed all that and i wished the station would bring back the old format to play the classics along with the new stuff just as the San Diego station 91X continues to do so.
@jamesoreilly8641
We had WLIR on Long island - the "sister" station to California's KROQ at the same time. the only 2 new wave stations in the United states belting those hits as fast as they were made. The best times ever.
@BillyMcBillface
My history teacher told us we had to listen this song in class and he started dancing to it while he explained how correct the song was about society and the media
@UnderSeaShadow
They don't make teachers like they used to.
