They sampled Jaco Pastorious' bass intro from 'Portrait of Tracy' (also called 'Tracy's Portrait') a song for his wife, completely and exclusively played on the electric bass. Jaco was a revolutionary bass player who changed the role of bass in music but many don't know about him. R.I.P.
