Be Here Now
THE END A.D. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Do you know why
I didn't try
I had bad things
On my mind

Whatever your thinking
It's alright
And whatever you're doing
It's all fine

Now your here
Is there anything
You want to do
Is it clear
My attention is
All on you
Now your here
There's nobody else
It's just me and you
The moon appears
It's shining so bright
For me and you

It's been a long time
Now the past is behind
The futures certain
It might give you fright

But your learning
Ya gotta do things right
But you don't know
What the future will be like

Now your here
Is there anything
You want to do
Is it clear
My attention is
All on you
Now your here
There's nobody else
It's just me and you
The moon appears
It's shining so bright
For me and you

Now your here
Is there anything
You want to do
Is it clear
My attention is
All on you
Now your here
There's nobody else
It's just me and you
The moon appears

It's shining so bright
For me and you

Overall Meaning

The song "Be Here Now" by THE END A.D. is a call to live in the present moment, rather than dwelling in the past or worrying about the future. The lyrics suggest that the singer has had trouble focusing on the present due to bad things on their mind. However, they now have the opportunity to be fully present with someone else, with all of their attention focused on that person. The song acknowledges the uncertainty of the future but encourages the listener to do things right and make the most of the opportunities that come their way.

The repetition of the chorus throughout the song reinforces the idea that being present in the moment with someone is the most important thing. The moon appearing and shining brightly symbolizes the possibility of new beginnings and a bright future for the two people in the present moment.

Overall, "Be Here Now" is a reminder to be mindful of the present moment, enjoy the company of those around us, and make the most of the opportunities that present themselves.

"A Spanish lady came to me, she laid on me this rose.
It rainbow spiraled around and round, then it trembles and explodes.
It left a smoking crater of light, that I'd like to blow away
But the heat came round and busted me for smiling on a cloudy day

Tripping through the lily fields, I came across an endless space
It trembled and exploded, left a bus stop in its place
The bus came by and I got on, that's when it all began
There was Cowboy Neal at the wheel of the bus to never ever land"

He is not dead. We know this because Death told him he would die on a rolling chair. We can also guess that he isn't dead because a lot of the characters on the bus didn't really die, like Bob and Jason, or like Trudy Goodman (we see her later in jail in an episode where Clancy interviewed Jason, so we know she didn't died). if there will be a second season, it's likely that he is still alive (and hopefully doing well)

Hes going to use that little trick with the wooden spear later.... pen loves chivalry, and chivalry loves swordplay. Hes gonna have to get real in season 2.

@Depths Heaven well, it is, when you think about it...🤔

@Kevin Medina That's a cool idea, but Midnight Gospel is at it's most fundamental level the Duncan Trussell Family Hour podcast but animated. I've listened to Duncan talk about the shows production on a few different occasions and it's safe to say that the show continuing without him is something that will probably not happen. The good thing is that he has already said he wants to make another season, but it's not his call to make. There are plenty of conversations he's had with his guests that could probably even carry the story forward (I can think of episodes Mitch Horowitz, Noah Lampert, and Charles Eisenstein just off the top of my head).

@I Can't think of a name I couldn't agree with you more! I think there is no need to continue the series. We went through a wonderful adventure every each episode and ending the series on this episode is the right decision to make.

It didnt change us, it broke us open.. after watching this series a buncha times, I took an 8th and sat in the shower for 5 hours watching myself die over and over and over. My hands were on fire and when I looked down, my skin faded away and my hands had morphed into the hands of my dead grandfather, the closest thing I ever had to a father. scars, callases, weight, 100% his hands. There is a tempo were all forced to drum too, no matter how rich or powerful or broke or ugly you believe you are. i learned that our mothers are IT dude. we HAVE to make sure this world has good mothers, proud mothers, dead or alive. I vowed to bury my mother at all costs, and not the other way around... no mother should fear burying their child, but kids want to be bad because theres no social empathy for people who have their shit together... it gets easier, we can learn contentment and connectedness from the ground up, we have to if faith means anything.

Watch it with some of my buds on acid, we all cried at the end. It was such an amazing experience
