Whole Lotta Rosie
THE MANY FACES OF AC/DC Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
About woman I know
When it comes to lovin'
She steals the show
She ain't exactly pretty
Ain't exactly small
Fourt'two thirt'ninefiftysix
You could say she's got it all
Never had a woman
Never had a woman like you
Doin' all the things
Doin' all the things you do
Ain't no fairy story
Ain't no skin and bones
But you give it all you got
Weighin' in at nineteen stone
You're a whole lotta woman
A whole lotta woman
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta Rosie
And you're a whole lotta woman
Honey you can do it
Do it to me all night long
Only one who turn me
Only one who turn me on
All through the night time
Right around the clock
To my surprise
Rosie never stops
She was a whole lotta woman
Whole lotta woman
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta Rosie
A whole lotta woman
Whole lotta woman
Whole lotta woman
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta woman-man-man yeah
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta woman
Whole lotta woman
The song "Whole Lotta Rosie" by AC/DC is a tribute to a plus-sized woman named Rosie. The lyrics paint Rosie as a bold and beautiful woman who steals the show when it comes to lovemaking. Despite not being conventionally beautiful or small, Rosie is described as having everything a person could want. The lyrics suggest that the singer has never had a woman like Rosie before, and he is enamored with everything she does. The phrase "Weighin' in at nineteen stone" is a reference to Rosie's weight, which was approximately 266 pounds, further emphasizing her larger-than-life personality.
The song's lyrics may seem controversial to some due to the focus on Rosie's size, but it's important to understand that AC/DC was known for their bold, in-your-face lyrics that pushed boundaries. Additionally, many fans of the band appreciate their songs for their catchy melodies rather than for their subject matter. Overall, "Whole Lotta Rosie" can be interpreted as a tribute to a woman who embodies confidence, sensuality, and strength.

Why do the drums sound like samples?
@andrerone8208
Somebody please tell me something Steve just hit some high notes and this tribute album sounds like it came out a few years back now if he went in there singing like that I'd like to see him do it live because if you did it on the albums the rat albums back in the past then it'll be great to catch him to do it live in front of everybody else anyway good singing drums or looks like they're samples or something but that don't quite work for me I'd rather hear a live set of drums than a sample you know it just doesn't work for me but Stephen Pearcy great as always
@BaneTheAssassin
Just saw him live yesterday, he for sure cannot hit these notes anymore. But was still enjoyable.
