In 2008, Anna brought all her instruments, the private music hidden inside her, and put it out into the world. It was a path full of doubts and changes. A path that started 20 years ago when as a child, her parents watched her constantly singing and accompanying herself on any instrument she could find. The first step on her way to becoming THEreminGIRL was a classical music education on a piano. Bass guitar became her second love. Always fond of the basses low frequencies, Anna found the sound and inspiration in the unusual 'Handy Pepper' bass guitars. These Russian Custom Shop guitars are handmade and developed by master Dm.Yakomulsky on an individual basis. And the third necessary component is the theremin, the invention of scientist L.Thermen. Listening to this musical instrument's tremendous sound delighted Anna and she wanted to learn to play this unique instrument. In a shop, Anna found an unassembled theremin kit by the company of Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer. She was helped by the mad professor and founder of the original guitar stomp-boxes Zalewski, who assembled and soldered the theremin from this box of cardboard, aerials, screws, wires and pieces of wood. Anna finally got her chance and she studied hard to learn this instrument with its modern analog moog sound and unique hand-made color. Combining these three components with her voice and lyrics gave rise to a music that is very original and sincere. A music that creates an unusual atmosphere immersed in a special mood. Her sound has been called experimental trip-hop, but Anna names the style moog 'n' mood. She simply expresses her emotions, simply does what she always has dreamed about. She writes songs. Her private world now can be heard.
In 2010, Victor from VFSix became "re: mine"s sound producer. Which was recorded, mixed and mastered at his studio V.I.C Sound.
An excellent remix on a song One Day was made by Doyeq.

Thank You
THEreminGIRL Lyrics
Why your eyes are closed
Why the snow on your face is not melting
Of course, I knew it would ever happen
But I can't still can't believe
That you have lived just till now
You loved me true, your love … it never have been blind
You were of warmth and strictness kind
You have accustomed me to honesty
You cared about me so that I was grown free
Thank you for the strolls through the springs
For your singing by the fire in the evenings
Thank you for I am who I am
I will do my best, as you wanted, as I can
Thank you for the strolls through the springs
I will see your eyes, I will hear your voice in my dreams
Thank you for a being always friend of mine
I'm so glad that we have met in this life
Our difference in age was fifty three
But nobody than you could better understood me
You showed me the way that I have to do
You showed me the man who loves me now instead of you
Thank you for the strolls through the springs
For your singing by the fire in the evenings
Thank you for I am who I am
I will do my best, as you wanted, as I can
Thank you for a being always friend of mine
I'm so glad that we have met in this life
Why the snow on your face is not melting

Can I just say, HUGE THANK YOU for actually playing the bass and not just running it through a massive DarkGlass Distortion and djenting!
Thomas McAteer
this really is a joy to watch, what are the gauges of kaliums you're using ?
Quigon *
Cool I have Kaliums on my Emerald acoustic.
Zachary Rizer
I believe 130, 98, 76, 57, 43, 29

Both pickups in parallel with distortion is the shit. Nice demo!

Really dig this different style of video! Nice to see and hear a proper breakdown of your main bass. I got to try a couple of dingwall basses at summer NAMM and am really considering parting with my vigier to fund one. If I may, that bridge and neck combo in series sounds absolutely killer and would love to hear that a bit more with your effect demos just to hear how that interacts with them. Great video as always and a happy new year! Keep up the good work!

@Zachary Rizer I know very little about electronics, but would it be possible to wire in a resistor that was only engaged in that position? Don't know for sure if that would work and, if it did, don't know if it would change the tone along with the volume, but might be worth looking into. That, or just explain to a good tech what it is you're looking to accomplish. There might be an easy solution. (I did like the tone in that position, too.)
Zachary Rizer
For sure. It does sound really fat and thick! I wish that there was a way to install a little volume trimmer for that setting. The reason I don't use it is because it is so much louder than the other 3 settings. So it needs completely different amp settings and pedal settings compared to the other two modes.

I like the FD-3 pickups. I have them in a passive Dingwall AB1-6. In some situations they need a buffer to bring out the top end clarity - depending on the amp - but generally I get the tone I want with little to no tweaking. I have FDV's in a Dingwall Z3-6. They are clearer on the top end and almost sound like an active bass even in passive mode. The treble needs to be tamed sometimes.

I've had a couple of maple board basses in the past and struggled to cut through a full live band environment - how does this cope? Seriously considering upgrading my MTD to one of these beasts - glad to hear a comprehensive sound review and not another Darkglass laden metal playthrough ;)
