All Or Nothing
TNT (70s) Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But now I see you don't hear a thing
Got to make you see how it's got to be
Yes if it's all right
All or nothing yeah yeah
All or nothing
All or nothing for me
Things could work out just like I want them to
If I could have the other half of you
That's all I would if I only could
Is to say
All or nothing oh yeah
All or nothing if I could I'd say
All or nothing for me
Pa pa pa pa ta pa pa pa ta ta
Pa pa pa pa ta pa pa pa ta ta
I ain't telling you no lie girl
So don't just sit there and cry girl
All or nothing (oh no)
All or nothing (oh yeah)
All or nothing (gotta gotta gotta keep on tryin')
All or nothing
(For me, for me, for me we're not children)
The lyrics of TNT's "All Or Nothing" are about a person trying to convince their partner to commit to the relationship fully. The singer had hoped that their partner would understand their reasoning and come to the same conclusions. However, it is apparent that their partner is not listening and will not commit to the same level of intensity. The singer makes it clear that they require a full commitment and that only an all or nothing approach will suffice, meaning that they need their partner to put everything on the line for this relationship.
The repetition of the phrase "All or nothing" in the chorus emphasizes the singer's need for total commitment from their partner. The verses refer to the singer's desire for a relationship that works out the way they want it to, and their belief that only half of their partner is committed to them. The bridge of the song (pa pa pa pa ta...) adds a unique flavor to the song, leaving room for interpretation on its meaning.

Can we just take a second to appreciate the gamble TNT has taken with AEW, big bucks on the line boys, we're gonna make it worth your time!

A brand new show with wrestlers most people have never heard about, and all the factors included, I'm not saying it's a bad gamble, esp. with the financial backing, but it's definitely a gamble

@Nunya Bsnes I think it's a good opportunity though, how much money (or opportunity cost) tnt are putting though?
Ignacio Ortega Piwonka
Double or nothing indeed

@90AlmostFamous I think based on the contract its inclined to benefit TNT incase things go tits up, but as aew gains momentum so will their ability to make deals, which is why I feel it's crutial right now to support aew, if it's a good product and if it falls short, to be vocal, they are listening, maybe not as much as we think or wish they'd be but they definitely are listening and that's more than WWE has done in over a decade

What gamble? AEW is paying for the spot, TNT is only paying for production at shows. Tony Khan's father is the one that's taking a gamble and so far it's paying off.
