Mather previously had experience with electro-industrial music in his former band, Aslan Faction. After some time, Aslan Faction stopped performing live and making new music, which persuaded Anthony Mather to devote himself totally to Tactical Sekt. The album Geneticide was soon put out and it featured, as Ant said in one interview: "...mostly songs that didn't fit into Aslan Faction music profile...".
Soon after Geneticide in 2003, Burn Process was released. The music and the atmosphere was much more euro-trance alike, emphasizing that Aslan Faction days were over.
In the following years Tactical Sekt were mostly performing live and doing remixes for other acts.
In spring 2006, Syncope was released.
In August of 2010, the band announced that after a long wait, a new album was in the works. There is no working title yet released.

American Me
Tactical Sekt Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You can never justify
Evil, misery
The need for them to die
Explain this one to me:
What was the crime?
It seems to me, just to be
At the wrong time
I can't believe
It's all involved
Why's it so acceptable
To have America by the balls?
There's no exception
We will hit back anyway
On some place
On some war
Our freedom is worth fighting for
Freedom is worth fighting for
The song "American Me" by Tactical Sekt is a commentary on the societal and political issues that exist in America, particularly the glorification of violence and the acceptance of war as a means of preserving freedom. The lyrics challenge the notion that evil deeds and the resultant misery can be justified, and questions the rationale behind the need for people to die in the name of war.
In the first verse, the lyrics highlight the futility of trying to justify evil and misery, indicating that it is never acceptable to harm others in any way. The chorus then focuses on the indiscriminate nature of war, asking why it is acceptable for America to constantly be at war and to always be the one to hit back. The second verse delves further into this notion of war, questioning why America is always involved and how it is acceptable for the country to have so much power and control.
The final lines of the chorus reinforce the idea that America's freedom is worth fighting for, but the question remains as to whether it is necessary to resort to violence to preserve that freedom. The song is a powerful commentary on the current state of America, whilst also questioning the broader issue of violence and war in the world.

Another year passed and I'm back at this video. Chilling song that reminds me of the beginning of all this madness, endless violence, paranoia, and reckless bravado.
