Tahsan launched his own solo career in 2004 with the release of the album "Kothopokothon". The album had a completely different sound to Black's albums, as it was mostly a pop fare. It was a big hit, particularly the song "Irsha" which soon became a fan favourite. In 2005, Tahsan released his second solo album 'Kritodasher Nirban'.
