God I love how well this fits Dimitri at this point of the game, such a whirlwind of Emotions, Sorrow, Rage, everything coming out.

No reason he was called the “Tempest King” in another route, this theme just feels like a Storm is approaching and is going to take out everything in it’s path without ever so giving a thought.

Dimitri is a Force of Nature in of himself, I wouldn’t be surprised if for a while he was one of the Leading causes of Death in Fodlan.

Seth Yosef I've always thought of The Long Road as the Black Eagle theme, since that song just feels like “I don't like doing this, but I know I have to,” which is basically Edelgard's path in a nutshell. She really hates doing some of the things she has to do, but she is striving towards an end goal that she thinks is worth it.

@Pademelon Well I get why people hate her. But if you have done both C supports you can understand her better. She has been forced experiments on, she saw her siblings die and her father dies somewhere within the story, as he couldn't have done anything to help her. As well as Rhea exploding with rage every now and then, makes Edel a character with very understandable motives of why she does things. She wants a world where efforts are rewarded where there is no corruption.

Yes she is a bitter and annoying bitch, but I love characters who dare to stand up against corruption and make the world a better place, since I relate to Edel myself. 😁

It fits in with Azure Moon and Crimson Flower the most due to how the two routes work off each other when you look at very specific characters and how they're willing to go about to achieve their ideals whenever the music plays.
Azure Moon: Dimitri, who's out of his mind and mentally unstable and only able to work with his fellow classmates thanks to you, wants to kill everyone who's not from Faerghus at this point, namely anyone who's Imperial (hence why the innocent Black Eagle students have it the worst when recruited into Azure Moon as they're being treated poorly due to the lack of comradery and unity among everyone.)
Crimson Flower: While Edelgard is willing to spare lives to minimize casualties and show that the Empire has its own human moral code as it only uses human methods aka military force, Hubert is more than willing to kill anyone who stands in the his Lady's way.
Verdant Wind: It kind of doesn't fit anyone on your side since no one on this route wants to kill anybody and Claude only snaps into Dimitri's mindset during the second Battle of Gronder Field. Though you could technically say it fits Claude who's more than willing to take more serious steps to getting things done even if he regrets it.
Silver Snow: Your theme for as long as it plays since you're the Leader this time and you're more than willing to take on anyone who's threatening you and standing in your way. While it ended before your reformed Black Eagles and the Church of Seiros could arrive, your merged army lead by you was ready to take on the Empire lead by your former classmate Edelgard, the Kingdom headed by former classmate Dimitri and the Alliance who was spearheaded by former classmate Claude, all at the same time.

Azure Moon is my first route and I'm so glad that I chose it. It has that beautiful canonical FE touch of prince revenge and friend reunion. I almost cried in the first chapter post timeskip when I saw Dimitri's classmates showed up, if you ignore the fact that Dimitri just crited every enemy to oblivion and he doesn't need their help except maybe Merce's full map heal and Wyvern Ashe for the chests.

It was so epic making Dimitri a grappler and making him wear his Monastery clothes. Then he fought unarmed, literally killed a fortress knight with his bare hands, and then he said "See you in the eternal flames..." while punching the air with his bare fists. Before I played three houses, god shattering star was my favorite theme, but after the timeskip and seeing dimitri descending into madness, when this theme plays, it instantly became my favorite theme in three houses, it just hits so hard, the amount of power, emotion is incredible itself. Dude this song felt the best with Silver Snow's Chapter 13. That mission was so difficult and losing access to Edelgard and Hubert didn't make it easier. I felt like I was pushed to my limit lol. It was cool too because once we got Ferdinand to appear he basically saved us, he tore through the bandits with Swordbreaker and Swift Strikes. This might be a niche take, but I really like this playing when we are attacking the bridge of Myrddin. Up to this point, all the battles in part 2 are defending the monastery or getting more troops. Myrddin is the first offensive stage in the game and that feels like war. This BGM is just perfect for that.

This theme is so tempestuous that you can't help but think that this is for the Blue Lions. It just takes off from the very beginning, something fierce like a lion bursting into a run. And if the Blue Lions are anything - it's fierce. The war is dark, but the students' backgrounds were already dark to begin with, so this theme felt like a refreshing return home to them after the timeskip. No introductions needed - just hitting the ground running.

No but I was on my feet cheering when Gilbert, Ashe, Mercedes, and Annette showed up. It's like Dimitri is a broken man and despite showing up to be beside him, it's still two of you seemingly against the whole world in a hopeless, bleak struggle. Then the rest of your friends show up and there's suddenly hope for the future. This is a good theme no matter what but for me it's best with the Blue Lions, just like the theme when you find Dimitri also hits the hardest.

Played this during a DnD game as the party decided to take on an entire village of frost giants.
Wound up especially fitting as our forces slowly grew through using a magic horn so summon a small army, and help coming in from some allies as the fighting continued on.

This song hit me like a truck the first time I heard it... Holy shit... Specially the part at 1:50. Few other videogame songs had been able to do the same thing. It was exactly in my first mission post timeskip, I chose the Edelgard route and was playing like normally, until I defeated one of the students I had been increasing the relationship skill in the past. Seeing she was basically dying and saying she was sorry but she did her best. Right after that dialog this part at 1:50 started playing and it hit me like a truck XD I totally felt that contrast between old missions with happy music when all was just practice battles with your students and a happy theme song, versus now a more melancholic and triumpanth theme were everyone you have meet and made relations with is willing to die for a cause, no matter what. I truly doubt I would ever be forgetting that moment and how it hit me :O one of my favorite games ever!!! O_o
