this theme is now super nostalgic.. it’s so hard for me to think back to the summer nights in 2019 playing this game.. i stayed up until 4:00am before an 8:00am work shift because i thought the flame emperor reveal was coming.. who knows if we’ll even get a summer this year :(

That’s kind of a thing with the entirety of the games OST. A lot of songs are used as leitmotif and the game’s favorite motif is edge of the dawn, by a long shot. Sometimes it’s played very obviously like in the main theme, or apex of the world or in the long road. Other times it’s a bit more subtle like in the grinder field battle themes. A similar thing is applied with how a part of “song of Nabateans” is used in funeral of flowers
