Bad Seed
Takida Lyrics

Have to realize, you must fight this sober
How do you find your reasons why
What do you get by
Each day planting bad seeds in the crowd
How do you feel when you cannot cry
The bottle's empty, and the rage will no longer hide
Your soul is on fire, will it burn before it's over
Ease your desire, you must fight this sober
How do you find your reasons why
What do you get by
Each day planting bad seeds in the crowd
How do you feel when you cannot cry
The bottle's empty, and the rage will no longer hide
Oh no
You must fight this sober
How do you find your reasons why
What do you get by
Each day planting bad seeds in the crowd
How do you feel when you cannot cry
The bottle's empty, and the rage will no longer hide
The first verse of Takida's song "Bad Seed" communicates a sense of urgency and desperation, urging the subject of the lyrics to open their eyes and realize that they need to fight their addiction sober. The lyrics suggest that the person has been planting "bad seeds" in the crowd each day, which could potentially mean that they have been negatively affecting those around them with their substance abuse. The chorus repeats the question of "how do you find your reasons why," implying that the subject needs to deeply examine the root causes of their addiction and the reasons why they turn to substances. The final line of the chorus, "the bottle's empty, and the rage will no longer hide," suggests that the person has been using drinking as a way to suppress their feelings, but that this can only last for so long before they must face their emotions head on.
The second verse continues with the urgent tone, likening the subject's soul to a fire that could burn out before they conquer their addiction. The final repetition of the chorus drives home the message that the person must fight their addiction sober, highlighting the futility of using substances to escape problems that must be addressed.
Overall, "Bad Seed" is a powerful call to action for those struggling with addiction, urging them to face their problems head-on and fight their addiction with a clear mind and a strong will.
