The sun is shining now, but still I'm feeling cold...
I was broken and alone, I wanna rest my bones
The sun is shining now, but still I'm feeling cold
I had a demon in my head, I don't know what I'm saying
I'm so sorry for the stories that I've told
Nothing is for real, and You know it
I'm just gonna let it out, I'm just gonna let it out...
I'm having nightmares all the time, for reasons I couldn't find
It's getting darker now, but, I wont close my eyes
Nothing is for real, and You know it, You know it
I'm just gonna let it out, I'm just gonna let it out...
Oh Yeaaaaaah
Since now, I'm gonna make it alone
Don't cry, I wanna be on my own
It's brighter now, I will make it on my own
I was broken and alone, I wanna rest my bones
The sun is shining now, but still I'm feeling cold...
Yeah, Oh yeah Oh yeah Oh yeaaaaaaaaah
Since now, I'm gonna make it alone
Don't cry, I wanna be on my own
It's brighter now, I will make it on my own
The lyrics to Takida's song Jaded speak to the experience of feeling broken, alone, and confused. The singer is struggling with internal demons that leave them feeling cold despite the sun shining. They apologize for the stories they've told, perhaps indicating that they feel they have misled or hurt others with their words. The singer is having nightmares and feeling increasingly in the dark, but they resolve to let it all out and make it on their own. They want to rest their bones but cannot find peace.
The chorus asserts that nothing is for real and that the listener knows it. The singer pledges to let their feelings out and continue forward despite the uncertainty they feel. The repetition of the words "oh yeah" at the end of the song could be interpreted as a release of tension and a determination to move forward.
Overall, Jaded is a song about feeling lost but making a choice to keep going despite the darkness. It speaks to the universal experience of struggling with internal demons and the importance of finding a way to cope.
