What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?
Taking Back Sunday Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And then you said a little more
About your dreams like that was my call (my call)
If you would only listen
Bypass everything and
Went straight for the neck

I study
We're studied
Up nightly
Dragged you out into the streets
Before you buckled at your knees (buckled at your knees)

Whats it feel like to be a ghost?
(Louder now, louder now)
Sp, whats it feel like to be a ghost? (Lou-)
Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well are you up for, are you up for)
Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well are you up for, are you up for)

This is quick but not quite painless
It sits perched on your arm
Tacky and irrelevant, so what?
A permanent reminder that
Oh Christ

I study
We're studied
Up nightly
Dragged you out into the street
Before you buckled at your knees (buckle)

Whats it feel like to be a ghost?
(Louder now, louder now)
So whats it feel like to be a ghost? (Lou-)
Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well are you up for, are you up for)
Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well are you up for, are you up for)

I said so look closely there might be something you'd like
What was it like
Oh and I
Look so close its been months who knows if I
Will get this right
Oh and I
Look so closely there might be something you'd like
What was it like
Well, oh and I

So, whats it feel like to be a ghost?
(Louder now, louder now)
Whats it feel like to be a ghost? (Lou-)
Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well are you up for, are you up for)

Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well are you up for, are you up for)

Dude I can never get over how good the mixing is on this album

@kurdtjohn

Eric fucking Valentine. I feel like every single album he produced has a distinctive punch, especially the drums.

@josh21801

Oh my god the guitar is so catchy.. YES

@Eerie_Ghost21

I pray that you will be famous again like in the past,
I wish you a lot of success.

@jackbrown4697

that would be pretty awesome, but sadly people don't care about good music anymore, it has been slowly heading that way since 2010

@Eerie_Ghost21

@Jack Brown
I agree 100%

@marcom.645

IF Adam would give a shit about his goddamn voice! 🤦🏻‍♂️

@fibbthehuman

@Velvet Scorpion He does. He's taken vocal lessons, and has dramatically improved his voice from where he was a few years ago. The problem being you can only save your voice so much after it suffered so much abuse

@marcom.645

Finn The Artist yes so much abuse from consciously smoking so much 🚬 and probably drinking excessively. His voice now sounds like a sheep when it exerts itself. I really wish he would of appreciated his talent:

one of my favourite moments of their whole discography is when at the bridge Adam sings that soft falsetto verse. I love it so much
