No tucks or silicone
She's touch, smell, sight, taste, and sound
But somehow I can't believe that anything should happen
I know where I belong and nothing's gonna happen, yeah
'Cause she's so high
High above me, she's so lovely
Like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, or Aphrodite
Da-da-da-da
She's so high
High above me
First class and fancy-free
She's high society
She's got the best of everything
What could a guy like me ever really offer?
She's perfect as she can be, why should I even bother? Ah-ha
'Cause she's so high
High above me, she's so lovely
She's so high
Like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, or Aphrodite
Da-da-da-da
She's so high
High above me
She comes to speak to me
I freeze immediately
'Cause what she says sounds so unreal
'Cause somehow I can't believe that anything should happen
I know where I belong and nothing's gonna happen
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
'Cause she's so high
High above me, she's so lovely
She's so high
Like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, or Aphrodite
Oh yeah, yeah
She's so high
High above me
The song "She's So High" by Tal Bachman showcases a narrator who is in awe of a woman who is out of his league. He describes her as "blood, flesh and bone" and natural, without any artificial enhancements like tucks or silicone. Despite her physical beauty, he seems to believe that nothing can happen between them because she is so high above him. He compares her to historical figures of power and beauty like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, and Aphrodite.
The singer acknowledges that she is first class and has everything she could want, while he feels inadequate compared to her perfection. He knows that he cannot offer her anything that she does not already have. However, when she speaks to him, he freezes because he cannot believe that anything could happen between them. He reiterates that he knows where he belongs and nothing is going to happen between them.
Overall, the lyrics of "She's So High" convey a sense of longing and admiration for a woman who is seen as unattainable. The singer knows that he is out of her league, but he cannot help but feel drawn to her. The iconic hook, "She's so high, high above me," emphasizes this distance between them.

In my opinion, end of 90's and the transitional of early 2000's are everything. Bands are coming from all direction... It was a blessed that you could hear that the radio and billboard chart would be bombared with fantastic songs every single weekend... pop, rock, alt rocks, metal, punk, ballads, boy group, girl group... you name it. It was gold time to grow up. Less toxic, too
@fariin2174
Back before everyone knew what auto tune was and used it to compensate for not being able to sing 🤷♂️
@MicaRayan
@@fariin2174 yup... with the song material and personal vocal, back then - these things alone either make you swim or sink. Autotune are nice 'ummph' featurettes; but it tend to be so icky when you couldn't 'feel' the authenticity of the real voice at times. In addition, the small little details on marketing are essentially gimmick... press loves that. Just act crazy, and you'll be on top! Thus, the mediocre one goes everywhere within the chart and the good singer-songwriter are left unnoticed
