Four hours into this story and I'm finding it hard to put it down. Call me strange, but I love a good zombie story. But the good ones are far an in-between! This is a page Turner! For those just getting started with this & considering quitting early, don't! It admittedly has a very slow start, but, it does effectively play in to the storyline. I promise! It's merely building character development so that you become familiarized with the protagonist. Trust the system, it gets much better after about 1 hour & 30 minutes.

100% gripping start to finish plus excellent narration and writing which painted a full action picture in my head - as a personal injury lawyer myself, I fully appreciated your knowledge of anatomy with the hint of our profession being of little use in such an apocalypse although ‘negotiation’ and ability to think on your feet, insight into human psychology under stress etc, definitely helps.

First off let me thank you for posting this book. The story was really good actually. And I like the format that they present the book in. I like the journal entry for math. There are times however that I thought the main character was a bit of a wimp. And each time I thought that I had to think of myself, how would I react in that situation. I like to think I would handle it better than he did. But I can’t say for sure. If you have any ideas for any other really good books please post them. Again thank you and be safe

Yeah, I came after Adrians Undead Diary (name doesn't grab your attention, but the story telling is awesome!) so I'm hoping this one is at least as good. An hour in and I'm impressed with the ease the story teller and narrator brings you into the world. This is good stuff!

This is the same narrator who performed "The Name of the Wind" which is one of the best fantasy books ever written. The captain of the freighter sounds just like Kilvin a great bear of a character . I can't recommend this book enough. Also "The Blade Itself " is a dark fantasy-comedy"by Joe Abercrombie which Stephen Pacey narrates, is my all time favorite performance from a narrator. Few hours in, enjoying it alot. Great writing and great reader. I read alot of this genre of books. Just finished After it Happened and Adrian's Undead Diary. I'm surprised how the books out of European area( no one has guns and don't know how to shoot) to the US written books(everyone is home armed and know how to use them). In After It Happened set in the UK the hero didn't even want to train many people where Adrains Undead he trained and armed nearly everyone. Guess it's just a different mindset. Looking forward to the rest of this book.

Probably been said already, but if you liked this and want another great listen, do yourselves a favour and listen to "We're Alive".
Its a zombie apocalypse story podcast done like the old radio plays were, sound effects, different actors for each character etc.
I absolutely LOVE it.

Great story only 2 and a half hours in but I can say its probably the best story I've heard during the whole pandemic and I've listened to probably over a 1000 . Unless something goes totally off it will easily be the best. Cant stop listening and I can say I'm starting to say damn only 9 more hours left ,what a drag then what back to the same old regurgitated creepy pastas. Great job narrating, I think that makes it that much more better , great job there narrator greatly done my dude.
