The Talley Trio’s top priority in concert is to lift up Christ in their music while presenting the gospel to the listener through song and testimony. Their professionalism and pursuit of excellence is only superseded by their ability to connect with an audience through the message of love, grace and forgiveness.
Roger and Debra Talley have enjoyed many years at the forefront of gospel music. They began their individual careers with other groups in the 1970’s, and from 1984 to 1993, The Talleys, consisting of Roger, Debra and Roger’s brother, Kirk, were one of Christian music’s most acclaimed and beloved trios, receiving a 1992 Dove Award and Grammy nomination. During this time, their daughter Lauren grew up traveling with her family beginning at age one. She would sing a song and quote Bible verses during the trio’s concert, to the delight of fans. In 1993, Roger and Debra felt the need to disband the group and spend time at home with ten-year-old Lauren as a normal family. During the three years spent at home, Lauren’s love of singing and desire to share what God placed in her heart grew. Roger, Debra and Lauren began performing together on a limited basis in 1996 as the Talley Trio. While they never intended to form a new group, their success was overwhelming, and the Talley Trio now carries on the family tradition.
They have enjoyed nine number one singles, with six occurring consecutively. The Talleys travel in excess of 100 dates per year, ranging from church settings to the Gaither Homecoming Concert Tour, cruises with Pastor John Hagee and overseas tours to Northern Ireland, Italy, South Africa and Norway. Their songs and recordings have won numerous accolades from the Singing News Fan Awards, the Southern Gospel Music Guild Harmony Honors, the Southern Gospel Music Association, the BMI Awards, and the SGN Music Awards. Their hits, “Testify”, and “The Healer”, were honored in 2002 and 2003 respectively with the BMI Award for radio airplay. Their project, Rise Above, received four SGN Music Awards in 2007, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for “Mountain Mover”. Their 2005 project, Praise For The Ages, also received the SGN Music Award for Album of the Year. Their number one hit, “His Life For Mine”, received the 2006 Southern Gospel Music Guild Harmony Honor for Song of the Year.
Although the Talleys are involved in many endeavors and continue to keep a busy traveling and recording schedule, they cherish their time spent together. Whether on a concert stage, in a church sanctuary, at a basketball game, or having a quiet dinner at home, their focus remains God and family.

You may doubt the things I say and doubt the way I feel (the way I feel)
But I know he's real today he'll always be (he'll always be)
I can feel his hand in mine and that's enough for me
I will never walk alone he holds my hand (he holds my hand)
He will guide each step I take
And if I fall I know he'll understand
I can feel his hand in mine
That's all I need to know
I will never walk alone he holds my hand (he holds my hand)
He will guide each step I take
And if I fall I know he'll understand
Till the day he tells me why he loves me so (he loves me so)
I can feel his hand in mine
That's all I need to know
I can feel his hand in mine
That's all I need to know
The lyrics to Talley Trio's song "His Hand In Mine" speak about the unshakable faith of the singer in the existence and presence of God in their life. The singer sings that they are aware that there may be people who doubt their faith in God and question the things they say and feel about God. However, the singer is convinced about the reality of God in their life as they can feel his hand in theirs. The line "I can feel his hand in mine and that's enough for me" is a declaration of the assurance that the singer has in the presence of God in their life.
The song goes on to say that the singer is sure that they will never be alone, as God will always hold their hand and guide them through every step of their life journey. The singer is not afraid of failure or setbacks because they trust that God understands their struggles and will be there to lift them up. Finally, the last line of the song "I can feel his hand in mine, that's all I need to know" underlines the idea that faith and trust in God's presence are strong enough to sustain one's belief and that the singer does not need any additional proof of the existence of God beyond the feeling of his hand in theirs.

on Truth Is Marching On
Some say His birth was of a virgin, some think His miracles can be explained away
Some say that He was just a good man, even though He died, He wasn't really raised
Skeptics rise and speak their lies
Chorus
Truth is marching on, truth is marching on
Down the corridors of time, Invinvible, Divine
Until all that's false is finally gone
Truth is marching on
Verse 2
There will always be cynics and scoffers
Our faith has always had its noisy enemies
They may rise up but only for a moment
Yet we see evidence through the centuries
It's Jesus Christ, He's the Way, the Life
Chorus
Bridge
Glory, glory, Hallelujah
Glory, glory, Hallelujah
Chorus

Down the corridors of time, Invincible, Divine
Until all that's false is finally gone
