Keep On Lying
by Tame Impala

All I give are little clues
Maybe one day I'll get through
There is nothing I can do
I'll just keep on lying to you

I only need to say its true
Your poor little heart already knew
But there is nothing you can do
I'll just keep on lying to you

Should my cover ever blow
Would you ever let it go?
There is something you should know
But hell if I'd ever let it show

So here I am, trying to be strong
It was noon, now my shadow's long
I guess I'll go and tell you just as soon as I
Get to the end of this song
To the end of this song, to the end of this song
To the end of this song, to the end of this song

The curse has won again
Soon I'll be alone
Take all you can
But please understand
It never really was love

All I give are little clues
Maybe one day I'll get through
But there is nothing you can do
I'll just keep on lying to you

If this was released in the 70s, people would be stunned by how different it was, compared to all the disco, heavy metal, prog rock, soul music. They would cry, scream and most of all applauded it for being a huge masterpiece as it is today. When I heard this, I was so amazed, and confused at the same time by how strange and mysterious this album sounds. It tells the perfect story of a someome trying to find their place in life, and exploring what's on the other side of their own barriers, for me, I was in a state where my parents hated eachother, and I felt like I didn't want to move on. But when I researched this band, I listen to all of their songs, and this gave me the reason to understand that everything is gonna be alright. And that no matter what I do, or the future person I gonna marry, I wanna have every th ing work out for me. And work out well for them.

@Chedda Cheese I completely agree with you. The kids who think this is a brand new sound just never.took the time to be actual music lovers and go back to 60s psych rock. It's like Joker. All the kids calling it a "masterpiece" are too young to have seen "Taxi Driver" or "The King of Comedy" so to them it's this monumental, never been done before thing.

@Chedda Cheese This brings me back to Elementary, yes, but it is more of a Middle School or even High School vibe, as in Elementary the world is mostly still just about playing video games with your friends and watching animated shows.
