My Fall
Tamtrum Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Atteindre mon but

Ce long escalier qui me face a l'air complexe

Cent jours passerent
Je suis enfin au sommet
Ici tout est plus clair
Tout est plus beaux
Je surplombe les nuages
Et les horizons

Rien ni personnes ne m'y attendais
Ou peut etre, le repos
Je marchais doucement
Mes chevilles craquent, Je tombe
Mes yeux ce ferment, la fatigue

A present je me sens mourir

Et je sais pourquoi je suis venus
Jusqu'ici

Overall Meaning

The song "My Fall" by Tamtrum describes the journey of a person who sets out to climb a tall building made of silver and glass in order to reach their goal and touch the sky. The first few steps are difficult, but the person persists and continues upwards. As they climb, they are faced with the harsh wind, which cuts through their skin and seems to violate their very soul. Despite this, the person remains determined to reach the top, not knowing if they will find love, strength, courage, hope or hate there, but still they must climb.

As they continue to climb, the person sees an eagle, soaring in the clouds, and feels an overwhelming desire to reach it. The sweat on their brow reminds them of their mortality, but they push through, determined to reach the summit. Finally, after a hundred days, the person reaches the top of the building and surveys the world below. Despite the fact that no one is there to greet them, the person feels that they have found clarity and beauty in the view from the top.

As they begin their descent, the person's exhaustion catches up with them and they feel themselves start to fall. Despite their efforts, they cannot stop their fall, and they know that this is why they came in the first place.

Overall, the song speaks to the human desire to reach for something greater, even if it means encountering obstacles and experiencing pain along the way. It reminds us that sometimes the journey to the top is more important than the destination itself.

Maintenant, j'y suis.
