The song Tú y las Nubes by Tania Libertad is about unrequited love and the pain of being in love with someone who doesn't reciprocate those feelings. The first stanza describes the singer's emotional state, feeling low and down because the person he loves does not love him back. Meanwhile, the other person is high up, seemingly looking down on the singer's heartbreak from a lofty position. The singer then admits to being a man who is far from the sky, which could represent a disconnect between his earthly existence and his love for someone who is seemingly unreachable.
The chorus uses the metaphor of the clouds to express the singer's confusion and frustration. The person he loves and the clouds both make him feel crazy and lost, and he fears that they will drive him to his death. The bridge of the song introduces a theme of hopelessness as the singer talks about a tree of hope that lives alone in the countryside. The tree is a symbol of the singer's fragile faith in the relationship and his fear of losing it altogether.
