The song "An Lov" by Tanya St-Val is sung in Haitian Creole and is a beautiful love ballad that talks about a woman falling in love with a man who was introduced to her. The song has a beautiful melody that captures the listener's attention right from the beginning. The first verse asks if the man remembers the first time they met and if he feels the same about her. She sings that she used to dislike this man when they first met but now is in love with him, and she cannot help herself. The chorus is the repetition of "an lov" and translates to "in love." The second verse talks about how she needs to hold her thoughts and not forget the man, and she recalls how risky it can be to let go and not be with him.
The song's bridge is an apology for any misunderstandings in the relationship and asks for forgiveness. The song ends by repeating the chorus.
Overall, the song that is "An Lov" is an excellent testament to Tanya's belief in true love, where you can feel frustrated initially, then eventually fall deeply in love. Despite the novelty of falling in love with this man, she now cannot bear the thought of losing him.
