As a producer, I genuinely feel like this song could have had a chance at being more successful for her with just a few changes. Most importantly, the mix does the song a huge disservice. The vocal should be more up front and everything else needs more texture and to be seperated in the mix. That alone would help the song shine more, and then a couple tweaks to some of the lyrics, melody, and phrasing. Especially reshaping the chorus slightly. For example "let's drop this fire" is a line I'd change as I believe it drags the chorus down and isn't a great fit. Just some thoughts. I'm not trying to sound like a pretentious know it all. I just occasionally run across songs that I feel had more potential and had decent bones, but the execution of the production and mixing weren't done well and it has more of an impact than some people realize. Changes like these are what can determine a song really taking off or not.

I watched a few episodes of Orange Is The New Black just to see what the damn hype is about with that show.
Then I saw Taryn in there and I lost it when she was playing the part of an ultra religious homophobic character.
I laughed my ass off because I've seen her work in other films/television but her Pennsatucky character is just so damn funny. Now I can't watch her doing anything else without picturing Pennsatucky 😂
