Happy birthday to you
happy birthday to you
happy birthday, happy birthday
happy birthday to you.
The lyrics of Tatiana's "Las Mañanitas" are a traditional Mexican birthday song. The song begins by referencing King David, who is said to have sung "las mañanitas" (the morning song) to his son Absalom. The song then transitions to wishing the listener a happy birthday and inviting them to wake up and enjoy the day. The lyrics highlight the beauty of the morning and the joy of celebrating the listener's birth. The reference to the blooming of flowers and the singing of birds is a common cultural motif in Mexican songs and literature.
The chorus of the song is a simple and well-known rendition of "happy birthday." The song's final verse repeats the opening verse, emphasizing King David's role in the song's origins, and restating the song's central message of joy and celebration.
