I have had developped this theory since the 4th time I listened to Lavender Haze and I think that my theory is 100% confirmed with this MV. My interpretation:
In the beginning of the video, the man Taylor is lying next to is asleep whilst she is dealing with insomnia due to many different emotions (as we know, each song in Midnights is a story of 13 sleepless nights). So to deal with this loneliness, she realizes she must take responsibility for the magic in their relationship. She creates a dreamlike world within him (the creation of the galaxy she stirs up) as he unknowingly participates. She crafts a world where they might hide away in the lavender haze, ignoring the opinions of others and maybe even a few of her own qualms about the relationship. She is almost consciously deciding to distance herself from these societal expectations and commitments in order to preserve the “honeymoon phase” with her partner. The predictions (weather segment) about how her relationship will play out are no concern. And again we see the fish bowl reference from Lover MV. She feels adamant about staying among the clouds of the dream-like state we call love.

Just my interpretation! I can totally relate to her & admire her for being so open💜

The weather channel symbolises how the media tried to predict the outcome of their relation but Joe reassured her. Bathing in Lavender symbolises being healed and nurtured by her partner. she did country, she did pop, she did electropop hip hop, she did alternative, she did folk, she nailed every single one of these over the course of 15 years and she is still on top smashing everything. lots of popstars are thrown out in a graveyard after having entertained the whole world when they're deemed staled, taylor knew it and expected it to happen to her, but i think she didn't expected to be that much successful in 2023. she is for sure the last titan of the music industry, her creativity is still longing and keeps getting better and better.

I love Lavender Haze so much. It’s one of my favorite songs on Midnights. I’m so happy that we got an MV for it. I’ve been excited for it since we got that video with all the MV clips and Swifties figured out that the third one is obviously Lavender Haze.

Some people (the people complaining) can’t appreciate art 😂 This video was perfectly old-school sensual, ethereal, and intentional. The way she clocked changed at midnight and the double entendre of the term lavender haze to describe happiness but also as a fantastical fog she doesn’t want to emerge from is so poetic. I admire Taylor because in her lyricism, it is always so prolific, poignant and illustrative. She’s also attentive to detail and artistic in materializing her lyrics to life in MVs. She really excels in the industry because at the core, she’s a singer-songwriter with storytelling ability that reins interest.
