Saaame, but i feel like i kno my reason. I liked the old version cuz i was listening to it as an audience hearing a beautiful yet sad story from taylor and admired her talent and the way she expressed it. It was beautiful in a way that how i got to listen to this story. But now, a decade later, it got more personal. I now know that how it feels to ask someone the last time, the very last time to ask someone to be top of their list. I now realized some things should be the last time no matter how i hoped it was otherwise. Listening to this album and this song is like a new experience once again. So she asked them if she could buy it from them and they basically wouldn't let her buy it. So she is in the process of re-recording all of her albums - in which she does own and profit from, so anytime you see (Taylor's Version) that is just saying that it is something that she owns and not something the other company owns.
