Snow On The Beach
Taylor Swift [feat. Lana Del Rey] Lyrics

One night a few moons ago
I saw flecks of what could've been lights
But it might just have been you
Passing by unbeknownst to me
Life is emotionally abusive
And time can't stop me quite like you did
And my flight was awful, thanks for asking
I'm unglued, thanks to you

And it's like snow at the beach
Weird but fucking beautiful
Flying in a dream, stars by the pocketful
You wanting me tonight feels impossible
But it's coming down, no sound, it's all around
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow, oh, oh oh

This scene feels like what I once saw on a screen
I searched aurora borealis green
I've never seen someone live from within
Blurring out my periphery
My smile is like I won a contest
And to hide that would be so dishonest
And it's fine to fake it 'til you make it
'Til you do, 'til it's true

Now it's like snow at the beach
Weird but fucking beautiful
Flying in a dream, stars by the pocketful
You wanting me tonight feels impossible
But it's coming down, no sound, it's all around
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow, oh, oh oh

I can't speak afraid to jinx it
I don't even dare to wish it
But your eyes are flying saucers from another planet
Now I'm All For You like Janet
Can this be a real thing? Can it?

Are we falling like snow at the beach?
Weird but fucking beautiful
Flying in a dream, stars by the pocketful
You wanting me tonight feels impossible
But it's coming down, no sound, it's all around
Like snow on the beach (snow on the beach)
Like snow on the beach (are we in a dream?)
Like snow on the beach (you want me)
Like snow (like snow)
But it's coming down, no sound, it's all around

Like snow on the beach (it's coming down, it's coming down)
(It's coming down, it's coming down)
Like snow on the beach
(It's coming down, it's coming down, it's coming down, it's coming down)
(It's coming down, it's coming down, it's coming down, it's coming down)
(Coming down, it's coming down, it's coming down, it's coming down)

What Is?

Their voices combined makes such a heavenly sound. I wish Lana could have sang more, but I kinda understand why she's didn't. When her voice appears out of nowhere, it makes such a difference in the song and the fact that it's just in the chorus makes it more special.

Golden Times

I prefer Lana's vocals more, because she creates a cinematic feeling/ tension in the song.

I couldn't agree more! Lana gives special vibes of her own. Taylor's new album never disappointing!👏

the most luxurious back vocals in the music industry

You can definitely tell this is a Lana del rey song. You can feel the peace in her melody which you cannot find in Taylor's voice. They both did great. I don't know how to explain it. They both are harmonizing with a different vibe.

The composers for the music to this song were Taylor and Jack, and Taylor wrote the majority of the song, with Lana writing the second most, and Jack also making some lyrical contribution. You can see this from the order that they’re listed, the biggest contributors for lyrics and production are always listed first, with those with the smallest contributions being listed last. As such, I wouldn’t say this is basically “Taylor covering a Lana song”, since most of the song is Taylor’s work. I don’t get why so many people are acting like Taylor didn’t write a single line or make a single contribution to the production of this song, when she made the biggest. People don’t have to tear others down so others stand taller, that’s just petty. Taylor, Lana, and Jack are three brilliant minds and arguably some of the best in the entire industry. They all brought a unique touch and flavor to this song. Let’s show an equal amount of respect to all of them, irrespective of which out of the three is your favorite artist.
