According to a Billboard.com album review Teairra Mari has a 3.2 (C3-E6) octave vocal range.
Marí began her career at age 12, recording in her cousin's basement, in Holland, Michigan. She soon caught the attention of Big Mike, Ed K and Helluvah of Detroit's K.I.S.S. Productions, which developed her from the age of 13 onward. Under Big Mike's guidance, Marí spent every free moment in the studio, working with producers and songwriters like Helluvah, Disco D, Big Mike, Chaz M, Detail, Lyriq, AK, and J.R.
K.I.S.S. Productions arranged for Marí to collaborate with artists such as Ray J, J-Kwon, Lola Damone, and Bee and for Marí to appear on Detroit's Fox 2 Morning Show and UPN 50 Sports Rap. In October 2003, the label released Teairra's first album, an EP called Get Away, which included the title track plus four more songs (currently available only on this album) and became a local success.
In the meantime Teairra attended Detroit High School for The Fine and Performing Arts, she went on to attend Fitzgerald High School in Warren, MI right before getting her big break with Jay Z.
At the age of 16, K.I.S.S.' Big Mike felt that Marí was ready for the big time, and he brought her in front of a who's who of label execs. Candy Tookes, a friend of Big Mike, introduced the pair to industry veteran Daryl Simmons in Atlanta, Georgia. Simmons then shared Marí's K.I.S.S. Productions-produced demo disc with Antonio "L.A." Reid, Chairman of The Island Def Jam Music Group. After hearing Teairra Marí perform live, Reid offered her a contract on the spot.
Marí worked with Jay-Z, in his first collaboration project since becoming president of Def Jam Records, to create "Make Her Feel Good", the hit single from her debut album on Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam. The second single "No Daddy" had a video that led to commercial success on MTV. The video spent 16 days on Total Request Live, peaking at #4.Teairra Mari's debut album, Roc-A-Fella Presents: Teairra Mari, was released in 2005.
She later appeared LL Cool J.'s "Preserve The Sexy." She also makes cameo appearances in music videos by 3LW ("Feelin' You") and Sammie ("You Should Be My Girl.") In 2006, Teairra Mari left Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Records, and signed with Interscope Records.
In 2007, Marí signed a lucrative deal with Violator but decided to split with them as she landed a new development deal with Fo'Reel Ent. under the wing of Cudda Love (the man responsible for Nelly's success). She is currently signed to Warner Bros. Records and is working on a new album titled "At That Point" which will be released in Februry 2010 with production by The Underdogs, The Runners, Jim Jonsin, Danja, Ne-Yo, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Ron "NEFF-U" Feemstar, The Movement, DJ Clue, Polow Da Don, Tony Dixon, Miscke, Tank, Pleasure P, and Rico Love, so far collaborations include Pleasure P, Flo Rida, Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj while she is in discussion with Eve, and T.I. She also co-wrote songs with Keri Hilson, Solange Knowles and Sean Garrett. The Clutch member J. Que confirmed in an interview that the whole team are going to write songs for her forthcoming album. The promo single "Hunt 4 U" was released in early January with a video to follow shortly after while the official first single is "Cause A Scene" featuring Flo Rida. Aside from music, Teairra is currently the spokemodel for the new clothing line Jean Addicts which is set to launch later this year, and she completed a film called The Magnificent Cooly-T.
After the failure of Cause a Scene to chart, At That Point was pushed back from its original release date of July 2009 to October 20, however it was cancelled again, and Teairra sent another song tilted "Sponsor" to raidos which featured Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy, it was produced by The Clutch. Teairra finally made her chart debut on the rnb/hip hop charts, and sponsor is sitting at #38. At That Point is supposed to be released 29th of June. With one more official single on the way "Automatic" featuring Nicki Minaj.

Shawty see the diamonds all the diamonds in my ring
I could get you I could get you get you anything
Cha-ching, money ain't a thing
Gucci, Gucci, I can be the co-pilot you could do the driving
You could be the star baby I could be your stylist
No my name ain't Gilligan but let's go to an island
First I'll make you smile but I'd rather buy you diamonds
That nobody can do the things I do I'll treat you kindly
And I ain't trying to flatter you but I think you're the finest
Damn you getting thick I hope you don't go on a diet
I done bought you some glasses cause tonight I will be blinded
Watch, chain, ring, earings and they shinning
Gucci Mane yeah baby but you can call me Ices
So tell your ex to hate on me I don't want him to like me
Yeah, yeah, he put them low profiles on my car
He treat me to a pedi plus manicure
Anything that I ask for from my sponsor
He go and bu-bu-buy buy
A baby blue medallion I just got
My feet they speak Italian walk so high
I told you baby thanks a lot my sponsor
He go and bu-bu-buy buy, yeah
He ain't no square, he just like to share
In love with the tipper throwing hundreds in the air
Throw some over here
And Louis drop the Louis drop the Louis in my lap, damn
Yeah, and all my ladies say
Yeah, the go-go girls say
Yeah, hey, hey, I got myself a sponsor
Say hey
Yeah, to fill up a drink for me
Yeah, to fill up my tank for me
Yeah, to put something in the bank for me
I got myself a sponsor
Every weekend I see Dominicans in the chair
Chica bring out the features in my hair
Add a couple of tracks for flair
My sponsor he go and bu-bu-buy buy
He must be a rapper, baller, doctor
Dentist, corner-boy, cook, chef, chemist
Yeah, I don't even care
Just as long as he don't say bu-bu-bye bye
He ain't no square, he just like to share
In love with the tipper throwing hundreds in the air
Throw some over here
And Louis drop the Louis drop the Louis in my lap, damn
Yeah, and all my ladies say
Yeah, the go-go girls say
Yeah, hey, hey, I got myself a sponsor
Say hey
Yeah, to fill up a drink for me
Yeah, to fill up my tank for me
Yeah, to put something in the bank for me
I got myself a sponsor
Baby girl like the way I tote the Louis bags

We getting money, all about the dollar
Popping these tags like I'm popping my collar
Hit her on Twitter so she could come follow me
If later you get with me we are going to end up on TMZ
(Damn)
I'm so fly, fly as I can be
I can take you to go shopping then we can go out to eat
(Soulja)
Yeah, yeah, put your hands in the air
If you dont care, say yeah
If he trying to get it

Yeah, my go-go girls say
Hey, I got myself a sponsor
Say hey

Yeah, to put something in the bank for me
I got myself a sponsor
In Teairra Mari's song Sponsor, she sings about a man who will lavish her with gifts and money, acting as her sponsor. She describes her jewelry, which is adorned with colorful diamonds, and speaks of how her sponsor is willing to buy her anything she desires. Mari portrays a woman who is always seeking material possessions, even if it means being with someone just for their money. She is willing to be with anyone who can give her what she wants, regardless of who they are, as long as they are not going to leave her.
Mari continues to describe the luxurious lifestyle her sponsor enables her to live by explaining how he takes care of all her beauty appointments and that he is always there to support her financial needs. She talks about how much she appreciates him and concludes that if he ever decides to leave her, she would be lost without him. Ultimately, Mari is aware that her relationship is based solely on material possessions and money, but she is okay with it for now.
The song Sponsor speaks about the greed and materialism present in certain relationships. Mari portrays a woman who will do anything to maintain her lavish lifestyle, and her sponsor is someone she depends on for it. The song displays the sad reality of the fact that some people are willing to be in a relationship solely for money, possessions, and status.

Right and put it on Apple Music
@Msboochie2
She did release it, but misogynoir promoting BET banned it claiming it promoted prostitution. They were unfortunately still quite powerful in black music, and it sank the song which was about be a smash. They seem to enjoy promoting prostitution that benefits men. Swiping a credit card down a woman's crack is fine to them. Women are supposed to give up their body mind and soul to these men and receive no support or benefits. Telling black girls its good morals to allow yourself to be exploited sexually, emotionally, and physically and never ask or expect any type of monetary support or real commitment. In other words you are worthless.Dont accept that mess.
