His tenth studio album, K.O.D., was released October 27, 2009. He has spent his illustrious career making sure he’s been grinding harder than the average rapper, and is the best selling artist out of his hometown. “This is another roller coaster ride,” explains TECH N9NE about the release. “When it came time for Sickology 101, I knew I wanted to do a collabo album based on the study of being sick. It’s a beginner’s course for people who don’t know how to be sick lyrically or how to choose sick beats. It all starts with beats because they tell me exactly what to do.” Epic beats from YoungFyre, Wyshmaster, Seven and Matic Lee set the stage for TECH N9NE to weave his introspective and sometimes roguish lyrics around.
Sickology 101 brims with stellar appearances from lyrical heavyweights. On the opening title track, TECH N9NE slays alongside Chino XL and Crooked I, pulling listeners into the Hip-Hop classroom for a lesson in murdering a beat. It’s a twisted vision forged on undeniable grooves and quixotic wordplay.
The single, “Nothin,’” is an inspiring, honest anthem that features Messy Marv and Big Scoob. Meanwhile, on “Midwest Choppers 2,” TECH N9NE and Krayzie Bone cruise to the depths of darkness. “Krayzie Bone came through and murdered it,” says TECH N9NE. “I modeled the song after movies. When you do a sequel, there has to be a bigger body count and more people have to die. ‘Midwest Choppers 2’ is Autobahn-style. It makes you want to speed.”
TECH N9NE’s inimitable flow and rhyming take center stage on solo tracks, including the haunting, hypnotic “Red Nose.” He doesn’t pull any punches on the vitriolic, YoungFyre-produced “Blown Away,” either. It’s an open letter to several prominent urban artists who refused to play before him at radio festivals despite his massive concert draw.
With hits like “I’m A Playa,” “Caribou Lou” (which boasts 7.2 million MySpace plays), “Riotmaker,” “Like Yeah” and “Everybody Move,” it’s no wonder TECH N9NE counts a total of over 4.5 million YouTube video plays and an average of 40,000 MySpace visitors each day. His success knows no limits. The July 2008 release, Killer, debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart and Number 12 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Full of purpose but not knowing how to open this?
No way of showing any signs of openness,

Emotionless, so broken they almost seem motionless.
The Ocean is, too deep to see where the healing potion is.
I used to know a guy, who was kind of a friend.
We were inspired to try, and change our environment.
So chronically we tried, but ironically inside,
Is where it starts, they said, so inside I went...
Too far too deep, almost to the point where my mind was bent.
Then I reached for a joint, got my thoughts on point,
And finally reached my enlightenment.
Suddenly freed, I realized the real requirement.
It started with trying to get rid of my sins,
So, in the bin is where my ego's desires went.
Then it was time, to let go of those fears of mine,
And send them all in kind into retirement.
Though sometimes I wonder where that inner fire went...
Because it was so nice at first, my confidence in rising burst!
But I did not yet realize the curse, that inside it hurts,

Where you always try to have good intentions,
But almost have to fear who to go near and what not to mention.
Not to avoid being judged, I would not budge from that,
That implies I care, and I bear not much for that.
But while you ponder, I do wonder whatever you share,
Do you really know if it's fudge or fact?
And when we agree to disagree does it really need to be,
With such extremity, so unevenly that we cannot even be?
That seems such an act...
So, it almost seems inevitable, that whenever I grow.
Personal space becomes inhabitable, for those that I know.
Suggestions too questionable, I rather go with my flow.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
But how would you even know what another sees?
And do you even take your eyes of the folder?
Or will you never set any sight across the seas?
Not only thinking outside the box,
But literally being outside the box?
Instead of just fleeing from the clock,

I've seen people that never left their own block!

Chaotic and neurotic, that's sometimes how my mind is,

But you will never, see them in sight,

These "people" don't take attention, they are not to be seen.
Never mentioned, their reputation stays spotless and clean,
Forgotten and unseen, left with souls rotten and mean.
Never blinking, and thinking like a robotic machine.
How come they are never spotted on top the scene?
By the same puppets who do not spot the obscene,
But always a slave, no courage to be brave,
Simply because they know not what it means...
Does it always translate to hate when you're afraid?
Hate your Neighbor, hate someone who does not understand,
Hate the waiter, who did not notice you raised your hand.

Making heaven a place, you will never attend,
In your face, but hidden behind a malevolent and clever intend.
If you want to be real wise, stop living your life through a screen,
Maybe then you will realize, there is so much more to be seen.
How can you form an opinion of the world?
With limited perception, and not knowing where to start.
Can you be reborn with the warmth of a girl?
And get rid of this deception, by love growing in the heart?
But don't forget to start with yourself,
No love for self, means no love for any better half,
I say this for your own behalf, and for your own health.
There is no graph, to measure that kind of own grown wealth.
No intimacy can be reached before the creation of identity.
The intricacies teached, the formation of who you are meant to be,
Gently, always there for you mentally, the foundation to your entity!

If you cannot bear to be fully naked,
You can never share, that which is truly sacred.
If you keep your eyes closed, your view is always going to be dark.
