Tiger Rag
Ted Heath Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Where's that tiger! Where's that tiger!
Where's that tiger! Where's that tiger!
Hold that tiger! Hold that tiger ! Hold that tiger!
Choke him, poke him, kick him and soak him!
Where's that tiger? Where's that tiger?
Where oh where can he be?
Low or highbrow, they all cry now
"Please play that Tiger Rag for me"

Where's that tiger! Where's that tiger!
Where's that tiger! Where's that tiger!
Hold that tiger! Hold that tiger ! Hold that tiger!
Choke him, poke him, kick him and soak him!
Where's that tiger? Where's that tiger?
Where oh where can he be?

Low or highbrow, they all cry now
"Please play that Tiger Rag for me"

My mom had this album and other albums by Heath and Ros and she played them a lot, but I remember this song "Tiger Rag" the most and I absolutely love it!! It brings back so many wonderful memories!!

I remember my mom danced to this song when she did her housework. It was her favorite song and she played it so loud that in the summer I'd hear it blaring out the front screen door lol!!

So, whenever I play this song I blare it as well, because, after all, that's the ONLY way to listen to it lol!!
