The band appeared on the Chilean music scene in 2005, as one of the finalists in the 6th annual National Young Band Festival at the Balmaceda Cultural Center, Santiago. Their first EP (self-titled) was released that year and a self-produced album, Gran Santiago, followed in April 2007. The song "Eras mi persona favorita" became their signature tune.
Attention from the Chilean media increased and they appeared several times on TV and radio. Their second album, Bailar y Llorrar, was released in 2008.
Then, suddenly, in October 2009 they announced that the band was separating, leaving the members to pursue solo projects. Anwandter released work as Odisea and, later, under his own name. Cristóbal Fredes is part of Los Mil Jinetes.

The song "Máquinas" by Teleradio Donoso is about the passing of time and how we leave things behind, specifically a passion or past time in this case represented by "máquinas" or machines. The first stanza describes the machines left behind in a hidden spot, a symbol of a once felt passion that was never genuine. The singer mentions how this passion was merely a thought that passed through their mind that was eventually cleared or "despejó" by the wind in their head.
The chorus repeats the idea that "todo te va quedar mas claro" or "everything will become clearer" which could be interpreted as a reflection of the character's growth and realization that certain things that were once important, aren't anymore. The second stanza mentions how this idea of creating machines consumed the singer for a period of time, but finally, they were able to move on to other things.
