1) Templeton are a pop band from Torrelavega, Spain, formed in 2002. They released their first album in 2008 called "Exposición Universal". Band members are Javier Carrasco, Jimmy Ginzo , Santi Castillo, Brian Hunt (Half Foot Outside, Kidsgofree and ex hombre orquesta de Russian Red), Gonzalo Mamano and Álvaro Martínez.
2) Templeton was a pop-punk band from Marlton, New Jersey, originally named Ten Second Rule they started in 2001 then became Templeton in September 2002 playing their first show at Marlton's Scooters. They released the "Millside Four EP" in Fall of 2002 and their only full-length "Accidents and Apoligies" in 2003. Other releases inclued a split with Useless in 2004, and the "True Friends" Single in 2005. They played their last show April 14, 2005 in Mt. Laurel, NJ at Grand Slam USA. Talk about a reunion show in 2007.
3) Templeton was a progressive rock band from Spain. They self-recorded an EP called "Orange is the Change" in 2001. Band members were H. García, A. García (brothers), Alfonso Valdivía and Pablo. You can find reminiscences from bands like Radiohead and Pink Floyd in their songs.
4)
Templeton is currently based at the very tip of Africa but enjoys roaming the planet for isnpiration. This solo singer songwriter has been performing/recording since the early 90’s and has slowly built up a listener base of like minded people. The best way to describe this artist would be to take the following ingredients: Take the carefully constructed sounds of Zero7 add the intensity of Radiohead, mix this with the mourful twang of Rufus Wainwright and the innocence of Eliott Smith and you have something that sounds like Templeton.
5)
The original band called Templeton (and I know that this is not contestable) is from Columbus, Ohio and was formed in 1998 by Christian Hurd who sometimes uses the pseudonym Errant Kohl and is also the frontman for a Portland, Oregon band named Lookbook.

Templeton Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics to Templeton's song Las Casas de Verano e Invierno describe two separate houses that hold emotional significance to the singer. The first house is located in the mountains and only the singer's lover knows how to get there. The snow in the city has covered everything, and the singer reflects that it's not so bad up in the mountains since the snow has also covered everything there. In the winter, the snowplows don't come by anymore, but the singer doesn't seem to mind. It's almost as if the singer is escaping the world, the noise and the chaos of the city. The second house is situated by the sea, and the singer bought it with their lover two years ago. However, their lover is gone now, and the singer thinks of this house as a place that no one will ever buy.
The song is melancholic and reflective, and it seems to depict a longing for escape, isolation, and solitude. The singer has disconnected from life, and the memories of the past haunt them. The houses represent a form of escapism, but they can't hide from their memories. The chorus "tampoco se estará tan mal aquí, tampoco se estará tan mal allí" translates to "it won't be bad here, it won't be bad there" and it seems to imply that the singer is trying to convince themselves that everything is alright when it's not.

Tengo una casa en lo alto de la sierra
I have a house at the top of the mountain

when I arrive at the right moment
cuando más falta me hará.
when I will need it the most
Los quitanieves ya no pasan en invierno
The snowplows don't come in the winter anymore
porque no vale la pena arriesgar.
because it's not worth the risk

porque la nieve ha cubierto la ciudad,

It has two floors but how many times have you seen me water the plants.
Y ahora en invierno sólo pienso en que te fuiste
And now in the winter, I only think about you leaving

Los conocí una mañana dominical de primavera hace 13 años, desde entonces regreso a este video como si el tiempo se hubiese vuelto un bucle. Y aunque quisiera escapar ya me da igual.
