One of These Days
Ten Years After Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

One of these days, boy
Gonna see my baby
Gonna see my baby
Coming down the road
She'll have my pardon
Pardon in her apron, oh, Lord
Gonna see the governor
Who said release my man

She's coming down the road, boy
She's coming down the road
Red dress on, yeah
She's got her red dress on
She's coming down the road, boy
She's coming down the road
Her bags down low
She's got her bags down low

One of these days, boy
Gonna see my woman
She'll have my children
Children on her knee
I'll run up to my woman
And hold her in my arms

Tears in her eyes
She says I'm glad you're free

There was a LOT of great music being made back then! My sister likes the 60s musically and there was a lot of great stuff. But since the 50s, (rock era), the 70s is my favorite musical decade. And it isn't just rock from the 70s though there was plenty of that. I like a lot of the fusion jazz from that decade.

One of the greatest British rock bands ever.

I was born in the 90s and love this song. No worries to the older crowd, there are still some young people that appreciate great music no matter what era it's from.
