The band consists of members Mário Ornellas and Edson Souza, both former percussionists of the popular band Gerasamba.
Their albums sold more than four million times. This makes Terra Samba one of the most famous and most popular bands from Brazil. Several tours through Europe and the United States made them famous beyond Brazils borders.
