Esperando o ônibus da escola, sozinha
Cansada com minhas meias três quartos
Pensando baixo pelos cantos
Por ser uma menina má
Quem sabe o príncipe virou um chato
Que vive dando no meu saco
Quem sabe a vida é não sonhar
Pois sou criança e não conheço a verdade
Eu sou poeta e não aprendi a amar
Eu sou poeta e não aprendi a amar
Bobeira é não viver a realidade
Eu ainda tenho uma tarde inteira
Eu ando nas ruas eu troco cheques
Mudo uma planta de lugar
Dirijo meu carro
Tomo meu pileque
E ainda tenho tempo pra canta
"Quem sabe ainda sou uma garotinha, esperando o ônibus da escola, sozinha" - The singer reflects on her childhood, perhaps feeling lost or unsure of herself. She remembers waiting for the school bus, feeling tired, and thinking to herself about how she might not be a good person.
"Cansada com minhas meias três quartos, pensando baixo pelos cantos, por ser uma menina má" - The singer feels like a bad person, perhaps because of pressure to fit in or be accepted by others. She is tired and feels low, as she contemplates her supposed misdeeds as a little girl.
"Quem sabe o príncipe virou um chato, que vive dando no meu saco, quem sabe a vida é não sonhar" - The singer has stopped believing in fairy tales and idealized versions of love. She realizes that the "prince" she once dreamed of may have turned into someone unpleasant, and that life may not be about dreaming after all.
"I só peço a Deus um pouco de malandragem, pois sou criança e não conheço a verdade, eu sou poeta e não aprendi a amar" - The singer asks God for a bit of "malandragem," a Brazilian term that can mean street smarts, cunning, or resourcefulness. She acknowledges that she is still young and unaware of the world's realities, but hopes that she can learn to be more savvy. She sees herself as a poet rather than someone who knows how to love.
"Bobeira é não viver a realidade, eu ainda tenho uma tarde inteira, eu ando nas ruas eu troco cheques, mudo uma planta de lugar, dirijo meu carro, tomo meu pileque, e ainda tenho tempo pra cantar" - The singer realizes that it's foolish to not live in reality. She still has plenty of time to enjoy life and do everyday things like walk on the street, run errands, rearrange plants, drive, have a drink and sing.
