Feel Good
Terrell Hines Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ohhhh ohhh

The world eventually runs dry and we'll continue to ask why
So do what makes you feel good
Drowning in your misery when it's all so plain to see
So do what makes you feel good

Is it a crisis or a Chrystal?
Or just polish on a pistol?
See you running from the issues
I smell fear it'll split you
Walked into oblivion
Fell into a vacancy
Rambling at the mannequins
Praying for redemption
What a time were living in
Superstition blurs your fate
It's all farfetched magnetic
Don't you forget it

The world eventually runs dry and we'll continue to ask why
So do what makes you feel good
Drowning in your misery when it's all so plain to see
So do what makes you feel good

Are we staring at an image?
Just caught in a machine
Do we know our potential?
Or what any of it means
Same ole story over again
The greed leads to famine
We can all imagine
We'll just let it happen

I'm stuck in a maze just tryna walk steady
All of the ways of the world won't let me
Constantly asking why
Cause sometimes it feels so heavy
Freezing cold in a warm city
I get tired
Tired

The world eventually runs dry and we'll continue to ask why
So do what makes you feel good
Drowning in your misery when it's all so plain to see
So do what makes you feel good

The world eventually runs dry and we'll continue to ask why
So do what makes you feel good
Drowning in your misery when it's all so plain to see
So do what makes you feel good

The world eventually runs dry and we'll continue to ask why
So do what makes you feel good

Drowning in your misery when it's all so plain to see
So do what makes you feel good

Overall Meaning

In Terrell Hines's "Feel Good", the lyrics touch on a variety of themes including existentialism, escapism, and societal issues. The chorus emphasizes the importance of doing what makes you feel good despite the hardships of life. The world may run dry and we may continue to ask why, but the solution is to focus on personal fulfillment and happiness.

The first verse begins with a rhetorical statement about the world eventually running dry, which can be interpreted as a metaphorical reference to the finite nature of life. The line "So do what makes you feel good" serves as a reminder to prioritize our own well-being while navigating the complexities of existence. The second half of the verse touches on the idea of avoiding the truth and the consequences that come with it. The repetition of "I smell fear it'll split you" emphasizes the danger of denying reality and the importance of acknowledging and confronting difficult situations.

The second verse delves deeper into societal issues such as greed and famine, with the line "The greed leads to famine" highlighting the self-destructive patterns of humanity. The imagery of being "stuck in a maze" and "freezing cold in a warm city" represents the feeling of entrapment and isolation in a world that can often feel overwhelming.

Overall, the lyrics of "Feel Good" encourage listeners to prioritize their own happiness and well-being while also acknowledging the challenges and complexities of the world around us.

Finding your song today and seeing that it only has less than 30k views actually makes me feel better about my own content. Why? Because if something this amazingly catchy, we’ll produced, and we’ll represented (video) doesn’t have millions of plays that means YT algorithms suck! Obviously man I hope you do get millions of plays. I’m blown away that this song didn’t go viral or whatever! Anyways I don’t have a following in YT (algorithms suck) , but once I get out of work later I’m going to push this song on every other platform I’m on! I have about 2k on TT (prob mostly bots lol). And about 500 or so on FB / Ig). Not a ton but every bit helps and you deserve to be heard. And honestly people deserve to hear you! Keep going man you got what it takes!!!
