First up, we have "The Colour of Magic." This book introduces us to the Discworld, a flat world that sits on the backs of four elephants, who in turn stand on the back of a giant turtle hurtling through space. Our hero, Rincewind, is a failed wizard who finds himself caught up in all sorts of crazy adventures, from being kidnapped by a cult of bloodthirsty barbarians to battling dragons and saving the world. Pratchett's witty writing style and clever world-building make "The Colour of Magic" a hilarious and engaging read.

Next, we have "The Light Fantastic," which picks up where the first book left off. Rincewind is still our hapless hero, but this time he's on a mission to save the world from certain doom by finding a new spell to replace the one he accidentally destroyed. Along the way, he teams up with a cowardly luggage (yes, you read that right), an inept wizard, and a host of other oddball characters. Pratchett's trademark humor is on full display in "The Light Fantastic," and the book is a must-read for anyone who loves fantasy and comedy.

Third in the series is "Equal Rites," which introduces us to a new protagonist, Eskarina Smith. Esk is a young girl with wizardly powers, which causes all sorts of trouble in a world where women aren't supposed to be wizards. She sets out on a journey to find the right wizard to train her, and along the way she learns about the nature of magic and the true meaning of power. Pratchett's writing is as funny and insightful as ever, and "Equal Rites" is a fantastic addition to the Discworld series.

Last but not least, we have "Mort," which follows the adventures of a young man named Mortimer who becomes an apprentice to Death himself. As you might imagine, things get pretty wild pretty quickly, with Mort accidentally causing the death of a princess and falling in love with her in the afterlife. Pratchett's unique blend of humor and heart makes "Mort" a standout in the series, and it's a must-read for anyone who loves a good coming-of-age story with a side of dark comedy.

Overall, Terry Pratchett's first four Discworld novels are a riotous good time. With unforgettable characters, hilarious plots, and sharp writing, these books will have you laughing out loud and turning pages well into the night. So grab a copy, settle in, and get ready for one wild ride!

I love the Discworld series. I have a lot of the books, they have been read often. Now, because of my job, age and some health issues, my eye sight is not what it used to be and even with glasses it is exhausting to read after work. So I am very happy to have found your channel and these audio books. Thank you very much indeed.

For similar reasons I can't really read physical books anymore, so audiobooks like these are just fantastic and bring a lot of therapeutic relaxation and laughing to me and many others
