your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
Free my mind...
Free my mind...
Free my mind,
your love's my desire
Free my mind,
my spirit and my heart
Free my mind,
my spirit and my heart
Free my mind,
my spirit and my heart
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's my desire
Free my mind,
my spirit and my heart
足かせの過去
いっそLeave me alone
Flow
幾分かマシになる今日
明日はどう? 誰もわからない
今はただ...FREE MY MIND
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's my desire
Free my mind,
my spirit and my heart
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
Free my mind,
your love will take me higher
Free my mind,
your love's beyond desire
The lyrics of Tetsuya Komuro's song "Free My Mind" a.k.a. SKY-HI) convey a powerful message about liberation, love, and self-discovery. The repeated refrain "Free my mind" reflects a deep yearning to break free from constraints, whether internal or external, and to experience a sense of elevation and transcendence. The mention of love as the force that can elevate the singer's spirit and desires to a higher level suggests that love has the power to uplift and inspire in ways that go beyond mere physical or worldly desires.
The lyrics express a sense of longing for a love that is pure and transcendent, one that goes beyond mere desire and encompasses the entirety of the singer's being – their spirit and heart. This connection with love is portrayed as a source of desire and fulfillment, acting as a catalyst for personal growth and transformation. The repetition of the phrase "your love's my desire" reinforces the idea that this love is not just a fleeting emotion but a fundamental aspect of the singer's existence.
The verses delve into a more introspective exploration of the singer's inner struggles and past burdens, referencing a feeling of being shackled by the chains of the past. The imagery of masks, fangs, and untold words reflects a sense of suppression and concealment that the singer seeks to overcome. The lines about facing negativity and self-doubt, yet finding moments of clarity and elevation by looking towards the sky and experiencing a sense of freedom in the vastness of the unknown, suggest a journey towards self-acceptance and empowerment.
The concluding verses evoke a sense of optimism and resilience in the face of uncertainty and challenges. The acknowledgment that tomorrow is unknown, yet the commitment to embrace each moment with a liberated mind and an open heart, encapsulates the overarching message of the song. The recurring theme of love as a transformative and liberating force, coupled with the imagery of expanding horizons, unseen wings, and the flow of life, underscores the idea that true freedom comes from within, from freeing one's mind from limitations and embracing the boundless possibilities that love and self-discovery can offer.
