From what I've read, the song is about his deceased sister who died of an OD so he wrote a song about her. He also intentionally wrote the song to be less critical of his sister because he didn't want people to think she was a bad person. Thus, the song's melody is kinda chipper but the lyrics are more serious.

The chocolate is heroin/ other drugs. The song may be aesthetically upbeat but the lyrics are euphemisms for darker things, namely addiction. So it's a neat juxtaposition of light and heavy. Idk, I'm not saying the song is a philosophical masterclass or anything, but It's most definitely not just a superficial song trying to obtusely glorify street violence or swag. At least not unironically.
