Don't you feel like coming home
It'll be good
It'll be like coming home
Blend all your days into weeks
Keep all your thoughts to yourself
It'll be good
Because you need a place to stay
And I've been feeling dead since you went away
You better believe what I tell you 'cause you're coming home
Won't you bring light to my day
Won't you be somebody new
It'll be good
It'll be like coming home
And tell me that you wanna be
With nobody else but me
It'll be good
It'll be like coming home
Because you need a place to stay
And I've been feeling dead since you went away
You better believe what I tell you 'cause you're coming home
But oh, its not a joke
It's got a butler, and a maid, and a stove
It's nothing new
It's up to you
And when I feel it
I hope you feel it too
Did you hear it
Yeah I heard it
And I think shes coming home to me
La la la la la la la
The song "Coming Home" by The 88 is a plea to a lover to come back home. It begins with the singer urging their lover to take care of themselves and come home, promising that it will be a good experience. The next verse suggests that the singer has been keeping to themselves and wants their lover to come back and bring some light to their life. The pre-chorus and chorus reinforce that the singer wants their lover to come back and stay because they need a place to stay, and the singer has been feeling dead without them. The bridge of the song plays with the idea that the home they are asking their lover to come back to is not anything new, but it is up to the lover to decide if they want to come back. The song ends with the singer repeating that they believe their lover is coming home.

Is it weird that I looked up this music 14 years after it hit YouTube? It caught my ear big time during the roll of credits for the 2004 Christmas movie, 'Surviving Christmas.' (Major players: Ben Affleck and Christina Applegate - fun movie, worth seeing.) Loved it! I had to hunt through the credits to find the group and title, but totally worth the catch and banking this is my music favorites.

Totally Amazing, I'm new to your work (aroused due to Community on NBC) but now you guys are in the top 3 of my fave bands :D

agreed. it's just the way they hit every note makes them one of my favorite bands. The lyrics aren't too great, but the sound is always perfected.
