Though the collaboration is a new undertaking for the pair, neither artist is a stranger to the music industry. The APX went into launch mode following the culmination of a successful private event band known as “The After Party Experience”. Dee and Erika describes The APX sound as "a galactic funky atmosphere using synths, sax, and vocals”. The group released their first single “Capture The Moment” initially to “Test the Waters”. Since the song release in January 2016, the duo has expanded and zoned in on refining their distinct sound which is a fusion of Nu Disco, Electro Funk and Synthwave. The project takes a myriad of influences including 80s music and “fuses them into a new era” according to the band. The APX recently released several live remix videos to illustrate what fans might expect to see at one of their shows. The videos have been a source of success for the creative project, having allowed the group to grow their fan base exponentially while receiving kudos from world-renowned artists such as Teddy Riley, Dave 1 of Chromeo, Alex Frankel of Holy Ghost, Nick Littlemore of Empire of the Sun, Dam Funk, Zapp Band and many others. The group also caught the attention of major music software/hardware manufacturer "Native Instruments" who now sponsors the two in their endeavors! The APX is set to release another single titled “Lose Yourself to the Groove” on April 28th, 2017 and the groups debut EP will be released on May 22nd, 2017.

First time, perhaps even only time viewer since I don't typically keep up with this kind of content, but I had to chime in.

I'm an old school gamer who hates battle Royale, was a Battlefield vet and titanfall vet, and am still newish to apex despite having tried it put multiple times but am now playing because it's the only real shooter supported by the Nintendo Switch (long story behind that too).

I can agree with a lot of what he's saying her. Surface level, yeah, this is about right and I'd probably harsher about wraith and octane mains and how the base player pool has no concept of the word "defender."

That said, about Ash, and maybe I'm just a bell curve breaking, aging millennial , but while her sword is cool there is soooo much more about her that makes her an amazing pick.

Forward; I don't really have a main. I play a lot of Maggs, Fuse, Newcastle, and I guess Mirage too? But I love the defenders most of all. Especially Watson.

Back to Ash. Recent pick up and I've fallen in love with her. She can hunt like bloodhound with her deathbox tracking, which she doesn't even need to be in contact with said deathboxes to utilize to some effect but her snare is what's greatest for any would be strategerier.

Catching enemies in the open, pinning them behind their cover for a flank, denying an area, or my personal favorite, snaring fleeing prey and forcing a squads hand to keep running and lose a teammate or turn and fight in an inconvienent position.

Add in her sword and she can exploit those inconvenient positions all the better. She's also damn near silent except when sliding? A good Ash is scary. @_@ I hate seeing "position revealed by Ash." Makes me paranoid for the rest of the match.

Point is, there are a very few of us who should probably be coaching at this point, who've been studying combat doctrines long enough to see these characters potentials for more than what masses portray.

Still a funny video though. Lol. I can't lie though, I felt called out when it came to Rampart and Caustic. The only thing I hate more than outside when playing them is the stupid storm. I did start developing outdoor strats for both of them though for that very reason that people know most defenders hate being outside. 😅

As a lifeline main, I’d say you got it half correct. Lifeline mains are either the carry or the carried, i play lifeline so i don’t have to worry about reviving my teammates and she let’s me focus on holding off the inevitable third party while my friends get ressed and heal.

Lmao funny thing is most Lifelines I see carry the team.

I’ve actually started using her more in arenas because the matching usually pairs me as the team carrier (they often pair someone really good with two less skilled players). So I can’t play my preferred style of letting the team 2v3 the opponents while I flank with Sheila and LMGs (Rampart main).

So the only ability that comes in handy is the rez drone.

Funny thing about Apex giving me the carrier position is I’m hella inconsistent. I’ll rack up 6 kills one match. And do all stupid plays the next 😭

I lost it when he said "you fart all over the floor" when talking about Caustic xD It's such a funny way of saying it. I also lost it when he spoke about Octane dying to ring 1 due to stimming. I was playing ranked and I had a pretty good Octane, but for some odd reason he was popping a batt kind of in the open and started getting shot at, rather than getting behind cover, he threw a heat shield and tried to heal up in a building out of zone (mind you this guy had 1k+ kills). So I popped in and revived him, and the first thing he did when he got up was try to stim out of zone. The gap between safety and the ring was pretty small, so I don't know why he did this. He got knocked immediately xD All he had to do was run out like normal.

Things like this is what made me realize that it doesn't matter how many kills a player has, we all have those moments where we do something dumb and question why we did it

I play pathfinder because I used to be a titanfall2 grapple pilot main, and it’s just so fun to go in and out of the action, and even when I’m stuck in some impossible situations I still manage to come out alive and always being kill leader, my pilot skills really help because there’s just non stop action and I love it, whether I live or die

Having Wattson's Ult eat your own grenades is just the nature of running Wattson.
Something I notice is in lower ranked lobbies like say Gold and below. Teammates always blame you for her Ult eating their nades. In higher rank lobbies teammates always understand that it's the devs fault for that, but I'll apologize anyway.

I have been a lifeline main for almost 4 years now on xbox, I've learned that when you play her, she isn't the support character your random teammates what(that being Newcastle) and that you learn early on that you need to be the backbone to fights. Hitting your shots are great but making sure to save your heal drone for absolute necessary moments for your teammates, you can heal with meds but the drone belongs to them. Without your rez shield you need to make sure when you go for a rez, your other teammate needs to be able to protect the down as best as they can and you do backup fire. Play smart and think wisely because you can either be why your squad wins those fights or why you all were sent to the lobby. Your character may not be as grand or flashy as many others and your set has been nurfed but you play her because you know when your team needs someone, you can be there for them in every sense of the way. If you play her on mobile you can be a trickster to who you are up against. Play a G7 and a fast fire like the R9 to make sure you can do your damage from almost any distance and use the rez shield to your upmost advantage. Dropping the rez to turn the shield or to beam anyone in your way. Your heal drone will follow your recently down squad members to safety as you control the fight they need to heal from. You could either squad wipe the enemy or play until your mates are back in action to carry out what they started. You can easily get 4k and 20 bombs if you play smart. As a lifeline you are physically TheLifeline to your team. Do it and do it right. Many will chatter at you and say we lost the game as you're picking your characters but you know that what they say is fuel to drive you to your next win. Show them what it means to be a lifeline, their lifeline.

Wow you are spot on lmao. I tried out Loba because, well, she’s thicker than a snicker. But then I kept playing her because I literally ALWAYS have the best loot and her ult has saved our team’s lives more times than I can count.

I main rampart, and gotta say most good rampart mains don't camp really. They take positions and help there teamates push aggressive and fall back into cover. Its what alot of us good ramparts do.

I played bloodhound from the start all because they reminded me of a Titanfall pilot, plus they were akin to corvids which are my favorite bird species. But honestly I play them more for supporting my team in knowing where the enemy it and whether they should prepare for an imminent fight upon reaching a new location.
I find bloodhound more effective in leading a team to success by helping them keep track of where enemies are approaching engaging them at which is basically exactly what they do.

As a rampart main my self. I can't speak for other ramparts but I play her pretty aggressive with a 30-30 and prowler or spitfire depending on what I get first in any given game. (I've gotten a full team wipe with shiela using an ash portal xD)

As a Rev main; it's a complete 180 for myself, But I've witnessed it's valid for others that (Have "claimed" it's their legend.. & no one else but them can use him) fit this description a little too well. Personally I try not to rely on his ult too much, only in specific situations; i.e) Bomb-rushing teams for info whenever my team doesn't have a recon Legend. Or End-game "2nd-life" strategies. Other than that, I like to think of him as a Universal Legend, he can be played multiple different ways, & not one of those ways would/could be considered wrong. :) Great video nonetheless Ottr.

I don't play Apex anymore but my mains were Revenant (my best character), Rampart, and Fuse. Revenant because I can sneak and be pretty aggressive so long as my teammates ACTUALLY USE MY TOTEM (yeah I've lost games because teammates just refuse to use it). Rampart because her amp cover is useful and I love being aggressive with Sheila (an aggressive Rampart gasp). Fuse because I can't help but go for stupid kills like running in to a building ulting and nading someone who's camping.

As a Gibby main, you're right. I hate losing my fights and use the shields to give me more protection, but I still lose my fights; for my ult I either get good hits with it or not at all. I mained Wraith when I started playing, then went to Bloodhound for a bit, then to Loba, and I've finally settled on Gibby. Even though I may not be a good player (my K/D is always between .5/.6), I have had more fun with Gibby than any other legend, and he's the one I get my best streaks with.

Vantage Main can confirm lol.( well not the part about being afraid to take a fair fight up close.) Only started using vantage a couple days ago but it's helped a lot. I mostly solo que. So I've had to learn to constantly be on the look out for some type of sniper just due to the fact that most teams I end up with tend to move around the map im still learning, quite a bit faster than me. Often, getting into fire fights while I'm trying to catch up to them. That or I'm running with my team and we end up getting picked off by a team with 2 snipers or multiple teams cornering us. Me using vantage has helped a lot because I no longer require a sniper in my gear to be helpful to my team mates if im falling behind. That and with the movement not gonna lie im still new but I haven't been dying to zone near as much. And the movement has come in clutch in a couple gunfights already and im still getting used to it. Other than that I now can pick a shotgun or an auto like the volt or 301 paired with the prowler/shotgun/ if desperate then hemlock or 30-30 im shit with the 30-30,and every time I've tried hemlock at long range I've been outgunned by a volt or even an r99. mid range engagements are almost non existent with it because the other team tends to push or as mentioned before getting outgunned by other ar/smgs ect.

As a Vantage main, I don't just sit on top of a roof top sniping people all game.
I like to hit or knock someone with it and push with my tactical.
I use an smg or an ar with a shotgun to clear all the ranges with her kit.

I play vantage because One, I dont trust my team winning a fight upclose, 2nd my team just charge everywhere without knowing there are multiple teams in that direction... the 3rd and biggest thing is I love sniping people from 500 to 600 meters and heating them and they are left wondering where the h3ll is it coming from and they start panicking and hiding or abandon their position.

I also love wattson and seer. Last option is caustic and that healer.
