Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Dreamin' love will be mine
Searchin', I'm always searchin'
Hopin' someday I'll find
Someone, someone to love me
Someone to need me
But until then
Keep right on dreamin'
Dreamin' 'til my dreamin' comes true
Dreamin', I'm always dreamin'
Dreamin' love will be mine
Searchin', I'm always searchin'
Hopin' someday I'll find
Someone, someone to love me
Someone to need me
But until then
I'm gonna keep on dreamin'
Keep right on dreamin'
Dreamin' 'til my dreamin' comes true
The Arrows' song Dreamin' talks about a hopeful and optimistic attitude towards love. The singer of the song is always dreaming and searching for someone who will love and need them. They acknowledge the fact that they haven't found that special someone yet, but they refuse to give up and keep on dreaming until their wish comes true.
The lyrics are simple and straightforward, but they convey a powerful message of hope and perseverance. The singer is not discouraged by the fact that they haven't found love yet, and instead, they choose to focus on their dreams and keep searching for their soulmate.
The instrumentation of the song is also noteworthy, with an upbeat and catchy melody that matches the optimistic tone of the lyrics. The chorus is especially catchy, with the repetition of the word "dreamin'" creating an earworm effect that leaves a lasting impression.
Overall, Dreamin' is a song that celebrates the power of dreams and the importance of never giving up, even in the face of adversity. It is a song that inspires hope and encourages listeners to keep dreaming and searching for their own happiness.

This is the "A''s, B's and Rarities" take with producer Mickie Most clearly asking Arrows singer Alan Merrill to sound young and angst ridden. The alternate version on the EP ("Walk Away Renee/Dreamin'") is a much better more mature and natural vocal from the singer on the tune. I dunno, some people like the dramatic overwrought vocal flair. Not me! Thanks for posting this all the same!
