So, your freak flag has been flying since the Summer of Love ? That's a groovy thing.. Long live the hippies.
Hey, man I've always thought that the hippie song "Signs" by Canadian band Five Man Electrical Band was pretty cool. The first verse is:
And the sign said
"Long haired freaky people
Need not apply"
So I tucked my hair up under my hat
And I went in to ask him why
He said, "You look like a fine understandin" young man
I think you'll do"
So I took off my hat and said, "Imagine that
Huh, me workin" for you"
The song was an international hit in 1971. It reached #4 in Canada,
#3 in the US on Billboard Hot 100
#5 in Australia. ☮️, brother

As always great videos to accompany great songs😊😊❤️

Great stuff. Never even knew this band. That change up and vocal stuff happening at 2:18 is a nice touch.

The Attack es uno de mis grupos britanicos favoritos, mod( a lo Creation) en su transicion al psicodelico! Video muy pop-art,magnifico como siempre!!!!

Let your freak-flag fly ! These guys were freakin" great. Some serious psychedelic shredding guitar/fuzzz.
I'm telling you, man, Oliver Stone is envious over your work. 👌

Always cool to hear some new freakrock. There's not enough in the states.

The Attack Should have been much bigger. John Du Cann-future Atomic Rooster guitarist here. This comp contains everything they recorded, many unreleased at the time. About Time! (The Definitive MOD-POP Collection 1967-1968). Thanks again HBO.

1968?? Wow, it has an early 70s hard rock vibe from years later. The Attack were really a great band able to play a variety of styles. My favorite song from this band would probably be "Neville Thumbcatch". It's pop psych so completely different from this track but I like the arrangement and mood it creates.

That's one of my faves as well...just can't seem to find appropriate footage for a vid.

@heavenlyblueorange Totally understand. It's not a typical song topic. Basically, a guy that is reminiscent of Radagast the Brown from LOTR who lost his way so to speak, and forgot his true path. Doubt you'll find period-specific footage but you never know. Really love that song, has some personal significance and it evokes an unique mood unlike any other.
